Does Floyd beat people up badly, or is he content outboxing them?

Floyd will box to get the points win, he is a safety first fight who will be able to have a longer career than most because of his safety first style. Knock out became a thing of the passed a few years back when he was having hand problems. Thus the reason he fight infrequently and does not go for the KO.

His damaged hands forces him to fight more conservatively. PBF was very aggressive until he fractured his hands againt carlos henderaz, and he hurt his hands against baldomir too.

You can't blame a man for knowing his limitations. As soon as Floyd jumped up to WW his punches didn't have the same affect. So he changed it up. It may suck if your the type that only likes to watch brawls. But for the rest of us, we choose to accept it for what it is. I pay to watch a competitive 12 round fight. If it has a KO then great. If not, oh well, it was entertaining regardless.

Can't you tell when Pacquiaos trolls give a fake answer about Floyd? They don't believe what they're saying, but its the only way to get a reaction from a Floyd fan, lmfao. Floyd just wins. Boxers just want a win by any means necessary. Your perception of boxers is phony *******s. Soon you won't care about boxing when Pacquiao retires.

Shane Mosley, he completely negated his offence to the point where he was just retreating and not throwing, had him stunned numerous times over the course of the fight and not once did he let his hands go to put together a combination that would put Shane down.

There is no such thing as a safety first boxer. That's an observation the armchair fan came up with.

Roy often used to say he didn't want to actually kill his opponents so used to outbox and outclass them. When he wanted to prove a point he could hurt.... that's why he was undefeated for 14 years (1989 - 2003).

i think is more humiliating to outclass a world class boxer for 12 rounds and pitch a shutout than a early ko. that's just my opinion

same here. getting shutout makes the person getting shutout look stupid and incompetent, like they can't do their job. most people on here voted early ko because they are afraid of getting hurt

It's far more in my opinion as well..

:thumbsup Floyd often hurt his hands beating on the smaller opponents.. He know's he'd hurt his hands more trying with these bigger guys.. So he beats them over 12 rounds.. I personally like that more, the other guys have 12 rounds to try and make a change.

Depends on the opponent and the opportunities he's presented with. There are 25 examples where he took the opportunity for the KO/TKO. But, he is defense first (particularly at this stage of his career). It's obvious a clear points win is as satisfying as a KO to him, at this point. That's actually one of the things I admire about his approach to the sport. He will not let ANYONE influence his focus on winning the fight. Once he gets in the squared circle, it's a game of chess. If checkmate comes in the form of a KO or a points win, it doesn't matter...it's checkmate, and on to the next lucky contestant.

Shane never looked like he was ready to go. He got hit with some good shots, but he was never really even wobbled. And remember, Mosley has been in there with some of the biggest punchers around, and has never been stopped.

He doesn't get a lot of KO's, but that doesn't mean he's not a good finisher. Ortiz, Hatton, Mitchell, and Judah are the guys he fought at 147 and up that weren't known for their chin. 3 of the 4 got stopped. Stopping guys like Marquez, Baldo, Hoya, and Mosley is not easy.
