Mosley was never the same fighter after the first Vernon Forrest fight. He absorbed a tremendous beating in that fight and he never again looked like the same fighter to me. A prime Mosley vs Mayweather would have been a mouth watering match up at 135 or even 140. As far as who would have won, to me its a toss up. Cheers All.
I wanna pick Mosley but I just can't. To me he didn't dig deep enough in certain fights. Strange for me to type that because he could pull a victory or two out of defeat. But his fights against Vernon Forrest, Winky Wright and Miguel Cotto left a lot to be desired. If Mosley starts falling behind I think he packs it in.
I do not know. But I do know that their actual fight is not a strong indicator how they would have fared at lightweight
Mayweather gets off the canvas twice to salvage a controversial draw. 2nd fight he plays it safe with a points win,
Mayweather incorporated alot more foot movement in his fights at lightweight. He was super light on his toes, I think he gets it done against Mosley by a competitive decision
He proved that Mosely was old and chasing money at this point as his speed and athleticism slipped away.....the brains he used was the brains to wait til his age started to limit his abilities.....PBF deserves some credit but more along the lines of SRL a great business man with impeccable timing when selecting high pay off opponents vs risk
I always felt Mosley was fairly straight forward and honest http://fighthype.com/fanzone/index....erview-sets-record-straight-on-ducking-floyd/
