I've said this before, most disagreed but it wouldn't surprise me.

I thought he carried Cotto down the stretch
Same goes for Guerrero & he could have comfortably KOd Canelo with a bit more pressure..

Fighting above 147 is all wrong for Floyd which might have something to do with his 'safety first approach'

Also against Guerrero he hurt his hand so that might have something to so with it.

    Perhaps I've answered my question.

I think it's more to do with risks... why take one?
He's winning comfortably, yeah he could open up and maybe take the opponent out...
but he'd be more exposed himself... maybe better to stroll to points win.

He's a defensive fighter 1st and foremost, he takes safest route where possible.

That's not a knock on him though... it's part of what makes him the fantastic fighter he is.

I think if he went for the KO a little earlier he might have got it

    that's illegal.
but I won't be surprised. Haye didn't bet on himself to beat Audley in 3 either ;)

He can't bet on himself but I am sure his team could bet on him. And he would make a lot more money if he bet on himself by ko, it has higher payout

That would explain the face he pulled when the 114-114 score was read.

On the other hand, I think everybody that heard that score pulled a comparable face.
