Does Floyd deserve an easy fight, aka a tune up?

Hatton wasn't the easy option he was the top man at 1450 like it or not and floyd hadn't fought him at 140 so the fight had to be made. He shouldn't now have an easy fight but why on earth should he fight a fat margarito?

Yes, I find this thread outrageous - why would Pretty Boy Floyd aka MoneyMayweather fight a "bum" who doesn't even know how to speak proper english for Chrissake? It doesn't really matter that the mexican is immensely stronger, bigger, much more heavy handed, tougher and enough experienced to fight moonwalker, sneaky, silky virtuoso Floyd - that is not the issue by 21st Century Standards... Margo is so flawed cause he has 5 losses and that is the bottom line here - Floyd would come out diminished in the public's perception as the bigger star who came out as the 2007 Fighter of the Year, fought Hoya, Hatton, had all those 24/7, ABC's Dancing with the Stars , MTV cribs' shows appearances, promo tours, was watched by 50 million chinese, Brad, Angelina, Kid Rock and Gwen Steffani, and now fights a mexican who is in a different league, not on the same glamour/finantial plateau whatever that means? No way José! I think it's fair that Cotto faces Margo, then fights Williams for the right to fight Mayweather out of his retirement paradise, fleet of luxury cars and all those dollar bills that flood his mansion.

This is a joke thread, right?

To answer your question, NO! I don't think PBF needs an ez fight. Thats insane! His fights suck when he's in there against a competitive challenger. Just think how much fun a crap fight against a crap opponent would be?
And I guess your even joking about Margarito being an ez opponent. Maybe it would be, but then again, maybe it wouldn't.

Whatever, I don't really care. The only Floyd news I look forward to is the announcment of his PERMANENT retirement.

And I know your joking about Joy Jr. beating KP. Kelly would knock his ****in head right into Roger's lap.

    :good

I believe it is, but people are voting as if it's serious.

DLH and Hatton weren't easy enough? An old man with zero stamina and an undersized opponent who already proved he had no business fighting at 147?

It would indeed be an easy fight but Floyd Mayweather is the reigning king of boxing. Margarito does not have any business standing anywhere near Floyd Mayweather while he's fighting.
I wouldn't let him in the building unless Arum bought him a ticket to a Floyd Mayweather fight.

Margarito is better than Hatton at 147, IMO.

There is no fight for Floyd Mayweather that would not be an easy fight short of moving to middle weight

Floyd needs to fight Mayorga for a tune-up on Friday Night Fights. Would be easy work for him and would get him more fans/interest for his Cotto fight.

Margo needs to beat a top guy to be back in the mix. I agree with the others.

I think the Hatton fight skewed a lot of things for the viewers. All he had to do was wait for Ricky to tire and then take him out. It doesn't sound easy but just because Floyd got roughed up a bit with all the hugging doesn't mean it was a hard fight for him.

Point is, he's the best..he should be fighting the best. Cotto or Mosely needs to happen.

i think it depends on how long he has a rest for
if its a fair while i think he could probably use a tune up first before getting in the ring with someone like cotto
he would beat margarito easily but i wouldnt call it a tune up fight with power like margarito has hes dangerous to whoever he gets in the ring with

He would of faced Cotto and Hatton at 140 but both turned them down.

Margo has proved he's not even a B level fighter. And Williams just hit some spotlight.
