"He said he will guarantee me $40 million but I won't have any share on the pay-per-view and other sources of revenue," Pacquiao said.

If the bout grosses over $100M and most experts think it will, Floyd would stand to earn considerably more than his superstar foe. Keep in mind that Floyd would also ask for a percentage of the PPV revenue and may seek to receive a cut of the profits made from concession stands and fight-related apparel.

Basing on champion status, P4p supremacy, overall popularity, PPV buyrates(gate revenue) and purse per fight,

Which fighter should have the most leverage when negotiating the purse deal in a superfight?

50/50 split would be right and would make both fighters more than they could ever make with anyone else.

Having said that, they are both not willing to take the risk of fighting each other.

I think Floyd should be doing anything to get the fight - he would win and have a great legacy but he is scared of losing the 0.

Pac should take it for the money but many he is worried that his political career would suffer if he lost to Floyd.

50/50 is correct, but Pac did say he would take less a while back. Arum got in his ear and possibly told him to tell PBF either it is 50/50 or no deal.

no. especially when pac outsold him last year. with that said, 50/50 is the fairest option as what pac has proposed.

The thing is they cant make the same amount of money one has a promoter the other one doesnt. One is putting up money the other one wants to get a big advance

If that is the truth then Floyd isnt afraid of fighting Pacquiao, just wants the most money possible for doing so.

    Regardless its a stupid offer

Floyds ego is present here He stands to make the most he'll ever make and his ego insists on the lions share. Just plain BS if you ask me. This fight will NEVER Happen I believe that to my soul.

I don't think Mayweather deserves more money. Mayweather had 3 fights in the last 3 years, Pacquiao had 6.

for a guy that has fought all of

years , its amazing boxing as a sport is so desperate with lack of big time superstars that 40 million could even be made for 1 fight against a guy like ortiz who outside of boxing no one knew who he was. floyd better thank his daddy that he wasnt born 15 -20 years earlier when there were more than 2 mega stars. floyd is a great fighter but the money he makes is by default because there is no one else in his country that is even a close second to him...

floyd deserves a 55/45 split becoz pac did lose his last fight against jmm and he got a gift victory so he is comin of an unofficial loss.. plus pac needs the fight against floyd now becoz after how he robbed jmm i dnt think the fans are gonna be that keen to buy his ppvs unless its against floyd.
