one is not a bigger name then the other..they both need this fight to settle things..50/50 is just.

I like how *****s have now accepted this fight as a 60/40 fight when it's been 50/50 for the past three years...what a bunch of mindless sheep.

Objectively speaking, the more marketable fighter deserves the bigger purse. Now determining who that boxer is is the tricky part. That's the crux of the argument; the split should be based on each fighter's overall market value. So conventional wisdom automatically rules out 70/30 or a flatrate of 40 mil...i.e, the numbers show that Floyd's offer isn't even close to market parity on a low-risk event with such a huge upside. The major metric used here, of course, is PPV revenues ...the more recent the more accurate reflection. In that sense, just for the sake of argument, let's say they're even. But then there's other money streams involved such as gate revenue, international revenue, or indirect streams such as concessions or merchandise. These are important as well. Then there's the question of the supply side/trickle down economics that Floyd's lawyer referred to as economic benefit to Las Vegas. Who's more responsible for the bulk of that and those other inflow?

I don't have the numbers to back me up, but you gotta believe that just based on Pac's higher endorsement portfolio...I'd venture to say Manny holds more weight than Floyd in that sense. Manny is just more popular than Floyd and usually more popular equals more marketable. In other words, Floyd's either a dumbass who has no concept Pacquiao's market value or he's a deluded megalomaniac who won't accede to the possibility that Pac's actually worth more than he is. In fact IMO Pac offering 50/50 is quite generous...coz I truly believe that if someone took the the time to assess every single thing (i.e., actuaries/accountants/financial planners/economists), the numbers will show that it's actually Manny who deserves the bigger purse.

Floyd should get like 30%! I mean he's a boring fighter that doesn't engage. He would be lucky to get 50%.. Pac is the entertaining fighter. Void will be the entertainer during 24/7 and all the other pre-fight hype.

Who "deserves" what has nothing to do with it. If these mother****ers really wanted to make this fight, they would, but they're both content with making low-risk, high-reward fights and continuing to bank $20-30+ million per fight as long as their fans keep paying to watch that hist.

Floyd is the challenger. Pac is the #1 p4p. Pac is being generous for asking 50/50 split. If I were pac, i'd say 60/40 or **** off ******.

LOL see how that works? Personally, that's how a ***** thinks. They put Floyd so high that they think that Floyd deserves everything and disregarding who Pac is in the boxing world.

Correction, Floyd was the challenger. He now owns the WBC belt. A more prestigious belt than the WBO. Last I checked, fighters don't fight for a P4P belt.

As for the thread, Floyd can make a case for deserving a bigger piece of the pie but it should be 50/50. Floyd can take care in knowing that even with it being 50/50, he still will bank more than Pac.
