He fought Floyd 6 years ago at 135. Floyd also was injured in that fight and basically did not sit down on his punches that whole fight rather than any other.

Floyd is always injured according to him. He always complains about how brittle his hands are.

He will not get into a firefight with Pacquiao. So no he won't back him up.

Pot shot from a distance is his most likely strategy.

I don't think that will be an issue in this fight

it's more the precision and timing of Floyds punches. Cotto's more naturally powerful but Floyds gonna hit Manny square and while manny's off balance on more than a couple occasions. Manny will get a taste of his own medicine by gettting smoke with counters he can't see coming. As far as how manny will take those nobody knows but how well he absorbs the sharp counters he can't see coming will determine wether he wins or not imo.

There's no way Floyd is going to risk losing this fight. You will see him in strict counterpuncher mode. He can come forward in other fights less dangerous than Manny. But in this one he will be outgunned except at distance and use his timing rather than trying to outspeed Pac. Pac's chance is to get in Floyd's head, to get him to come forward and mix it up, which I think he wins if he could do that. Floyd knows his advantages and will use them.

IMO he does. But if he doesn't it could make a close fight on the cards.

Yes, there is a reason guys just don't walk through floyd. He has enough power to get his opponents respect. If pac just jumps in reckless he will get stopped.

Anyone can back up Pac but is has to be constant punches with power. Hoya, Hatton, and Cotto supposedly bigger and more powerful didn't do that.

By the way, Pac can now fight backwards. I can't believe you missed the 2nd KD:

id say yes, mayweather is a respectable puncher but its his timing that will be the biggest factor

I am one of the very few posters on here who actually thinks Floyd will stop Manny and heres why, Mayweather has underated power taking a punch is a mental thing just as much as a mental thing and i dont think Pacquiao will respect Mayweathers power he respected Cottos and Oscars so he took there punches well because they are respected as hard punchers so he will be shocked by Floyds power.

Manny was hurt against Marquez in both there fights in the second and eighth round of fight 2 Marquez had him hurt, Hatton Buzzed him with a right hand i seem to remember and Floyd is a better puncher then both of them.

Floyd really is an underated body puncher and Marquez had Pacquiao doubled up and out of it in round 8 of fight number 2, Simply put Mayweather is a bigger, more skillful version of Marquez his punching accuracy will knock Pac out.
