I actually don't know if he will go toe to toe with him, I don't think cottos power is much more dangerous than ortiz so he very well could, but the reason why everyone here isn't a brilliant boxer is because of two things, the obvious one being we are not physically gifted and/or we can't analyze an opponent to the point where we have the best strategy

Miguel Cotto is at a point in his career where he can't afford to trade with anybody, the days of Cotto having these life and death, knock down drag em out braws are long gone.

Over the last few fights he's Boxing more, working off the Jab, and trying not to engage in any toe to toe action. Honestly, who was the last guy he stood and traded with ?

Back to your question; I think trading with Mayweather is undermining his speed, power, and ability to put his shots together. If Cotto gets reckless, like Hatton, he'll be knocked out....don't forget Floyd can PUNCH too, he's not Yuri Foreman.
