I would have put it in other words but that kind of sums it up like it or not. That's just not Floyd Mayweather's style, he doesn't take those kind of risks because he is a smarter fighter than that. Better to be safe than sorry, trying to prove how "Tough" you are. He likely will be doing a lot of counter punching against Cotto and don't be shocked if it leads to some heavier shots from Mayweather too.

I don't think Cotto is going to try and make it a toe-to-toe fight to anyways. It would be a waste of time and punches thrown for him as Mayweather simply won't engage that kind of action. He'll either counter or move away, simple as that, making a toe-to-toe confrontation impossible. Cotto's best chance for that is getting Mayweather on the ropes and letting loose but Floyd can find his way out of that rather easily too.

I can tell you one think though. If Cotto tries to get tough with him, and does indeed land some serious **** on him, Mayweather will go on the offensive and put some hands on him. He'll get as aggressive as he ever gets and that's enough to put Cotto in heavy defense mode which means he isn't throwing punches and scoring with the judges. I'd like to see Cotto win this fight, but I don't see it happening. A toe-to-toe slug fest would be a good way for him to win it, but that scenario just isn't going to come his way.

floyd is stationary these days. he'll be in the pocket which will be good for cotto. the flip side is will cotto stay in the pocket the whole time? i don't think he will.

I understand you about the Margarito fight but the way I took that fight was, Cotto wanted to damage Margaritos eye add much as he could, his body punches to Margarito where all in the single digits, but I won't lie to you I've seen Cotto alot better,I believe the nest Cotto so far after his lost was against Foreman, we say May 5th what this Cuban trainer is all about.

yeah he has the balls to do, but hes probably not going to which is great cause boxing is about hitting someone and not getting hit not exchanging punch for punch. if i wanted to watch that why dont they both just stand still and take turns punching each till one quits

Who knows? It's not apart of his style to trade.

What I will say is the possibility of having a little brawl with Cotto(e) won't be enough to make Floyd think twice about opening up offensively
