I don't think he can win a decision and would have to pull off a knockout like SRL did against Hearns........
PW cant hurt Floyd and Floyd is smart and would smother him inside and eat him alive in this fight his height would be used against him
yep pw has reach but no power and that weak ass jab aint going to cut it...pw aint outboxing PBF either...
Agreed PW needs to win some big fights to earn a shot. I would like to see him against Mosley or Cotto.
People said he couldn't knock Hatton out or defeat an aggressive fighter and look what happened. I see you still have some of that "doubting Thomas" spirit left in you. FLOYD Greatest fighter ever PERIOD!
exactly. floyd is a genius in that ring. he would adapt perfectly. and as someone else mentioned, williams hasn't earned the shot. floyd could easily knock this guy out.
No doubt he's an ATG. The question is where he'll be ranked among the legends. He needs to beat Cotto and Williams to be in the top 10.
I don't think PBF is too keen on fighting tall welterweights like Williams, Margarito or even Cintron.
Sharmba Mitchell stunned PW in their fight. Basically any fighter can be hurt, its not just about power, it's basically that plus timing and accuracy.
Mayweather does not have the power to KO Williams and Williams does not have the power to KO Mayweather.
Hearns was outboxing SRL and had a beautiful jab and great boxing skills, Paul Williams only resembles Hearns in height and reach and thats it. It would be rather awkward due to the size differences, but PBF is a much better boxer than Williams and his defence should be good to avoid most of Williams shots. Once he finds his distance PBF should be able to UD williams.
I think Paul Wlliams boxing skills are very decent and the reach would give Floyd a lot of problems. Remember nobody knew how good Hearn's boxing was before the SRL fight. He was just knocking out everyone before that. PW might surprise a lot of people. His chin and punch output are also better than Hearns.
I agree with you,,,,except pw's chin has not been put to the test yet. I think Mayweather could stop him
