He got hit by some hard shots by Margarito, and still kept fighting back. Mayweather doesn't hit harder then Margarito. On top of that Mayweather is a defensive fighter, he will have to come at Williams, not fight at arms length, which will be hard to do because Williams like to throw volumes amount of punches, and his punches are pretty accurate too.

Williams isn't more technically skilled then Mayweather, what matter is that he's technically skilled enough because of his size, and I think he can beat Mayweather.

No... Ko'ing 140lb, 5'6'' hatton doesnt mean he could do it to 6ft 1 draining everything he has to make 147lb williams. i dont think he would ever plant his feet enough in the fight to make his punches have a great effect eather... mayweather isnt a SOFT puncher, and its not a knock on his power..... but williams has shown no real chin issues and i dont see mayweather hurting him at all.

Mayweather eats this man alive....with no real power to have worry about a flicker type jab.....Floyd will crowd him in the inside to negate that length and brutalize him with a body attack...lunging pot shots because PW's balance is not all that great...Floyd is just to much for him right now...im sorry Floyd would wear his ass out because Floyd would smother the shyt outta him and we all know Floyds infighting is nasty just nasty!

Also....Floyd doesnt use POWER to KO necessarily...its the combination of punishment then that precise punch that lands and disorientates the boxer and then Floyd finishes like no other.

williams can't really hurt floyd..and floyd would break him down with bodyshots on those skinny ribs.

Floyd would have to come forward and attack otherwise he losses a boxing match at long range due to PW's workrate and reach. He has the skill to do it but it's not his main style. Margarito couldn't hurt PW body and he's a big body puncher.

He did beat Tony Pep, who was a 6'1 junior lightweight. But of course Paul Williams is a way better boxer then Tony Pep.

floyd has an underrated body attack. Okay, he doesn't hit as hard to the body as margarito or cotto but his shots are perfectly placed and are thrown with speed and precision which make them just as effective..

people look at the judah fight and say 'oh Zab just had a mental break-down' but if you watch closely, floyd was hitting him with some hurtful bodypunches.

Floyd used to throw nasty left hooks to the body back in his hay-days. In his fight against Tony Pep he was tagging him with left hooks to the body.

Agreed 100%. In fact, I think Cotto deserves a bout with Floyd more than Hatton. I'm just analyzing what I think would be a very big style (due to his workrate) and size matchup problem for Floyd.
