Void is scared of Pac and it shows. Void's best fights are against women, although he appears to be interested in beating up children also.

    Again? Sorry, were we speaking?

That was an awful lot of effort you went to. It's too bad most of it is just you spouting off.

The fact is that from 1998 to 2005 Mayweather won 17 consecutive fights that were either world title fights (14 of them) or eliminators - ten of those wins by stoppage (including some men that very rarely get stopped) and all against top-ranked contenders or champions.

That is a legacy, yes. It isn't a legacy that trumps Ali and SRR combined, no - but it is a legacy. It is the legacy of a very good fighter (your own words) and a lock for the HOF even before he ascended to welterweight just on the strength of defending his super featherweight title 8 times, then moving up to challenge immediately for the lightweight title and winning it and then defending that three times.

So in essence you haven't successfully argued against anything I said. You just seem to have your own personal definition of what can be called a legacy. Apparently just being a very good boxer who will probably get in the HOF isn't enough to lay claim to having a "legacy". That's your semantic hang-up, pal.

Being a very good HOF-caliber fighter should probably be seen as "good enough" and someone who meets those criteria shouldn't really have anything to prove by moving up to 160 lbs despite being 3-4" shorter than the average middleweight. People saying Floyd needs a fight with a middleweight to go down as a very good fighter are wrong. Moving up and beating a middleweight would be gravy. Not doing so would not be a black mark on an already extant legacy.

ok, legacy means sven ottke and joe calzaghe to you..... :good
he can win 50 fights that are deemed world title as you say 17.....when they are against brusslels, sosa, ndou, jesus chavez, shot fighters, old fighters, and avoids ALL guys in their prime?? congrats to him. no one is asking him to go up and fight williams at 160, 147 would work for paul, hes done that for 90% if his career. **** he could fight a junior middle at 155 who is pretty much a natural welter in sergio for his 160 crown without fighting a real 160 pounder....like he did for his bogus 154 pound farce with oscar. gets a 147 title against a junior welter. no one is asking him to fight pavlik,m abraham or sturm type guys. and refuses to fights anyone youger than 35 which is ancient when talking about lighter weight guys.
once is established as being elite.....fighting shot guys like sharba mitchell, judah, chop chop when they are comin in on a losing streak is pathetic. :deal fanboy

Anyway back to the legacy and the gravy train...

    What was the thread again?

    Ah yes, balls! YES.
FLoyd fights who he wants to fight and when! He picks his opponents because all roads lead to him having cemented himself as a ATG1 above sugary ray robinson with his stunning 125-140lb win streak. THats legacy right there YO!

Martinez Williams? They aint got the class to enter with the ring general! Wheres my ***** I need to beat something up.

"Sack" has nothing to do with it...
Does he have the DESIRE to lift himself to fight them should be the question.

There is only one fighter in the history of the super featherweight division who could lay claim to being better then Floyd Mayweather and that is Alexis Arguello.

But you are to ****ing stupid and ignorant about boxing history to know what the **** you are talking about.

You dont even know who Genaro Hernandez, Famoso, Jesus Chavez, are. Hell even Floyds minor scalps like Gregario Vargas was a world champion.

But you are such a stupid ****ing idiot who doesnt know **** about boxing and only started watching 3 years ago that naming any of these fighter to you would instantly turn you into a drooling ******.

How the **** was his fight against Oscar a farce moron? Oscar was champ. Do you wanna know what the Oscar who Floyd fought would have done to Margarito and Cotto.

    Goddamn you're stupid.

martinez is a 2 weightclass difference.

paul williams however could make welter.

then again martinez can make 154 if he wanted to and mayweather has trouble making weight.

mayweather might as well do junior middle and figh those guys.

actually come to think of it its not to fardfetch for mayweather to fight martinez and williams.

i think he would fight williams before he fights martinez though

Way to miss the point.

He said "wrong again", implying that there is another time he considered me to be wrong and apparently I'm supposed to know what he's talking about randomly out of the blue.

He doesn't have that many amazing wins, no - just a bunch of solid ones at the lower weights, as has been detailed. That's enough to go down as a good fighter, which is all well and fine. He's 33 and had he stayed retired the first time it would have been stupid for him to take any flack for who he didn't fight (ie Margarito, Cotto) just like it's stupid for him to take flack now for not fighting Pacquiao, Martinez and Williams. Any of those fights would only enhance his standing historically - but if he opts not to participate in them, it doesn't hurt his standing.

There's no reason to expect him to take those fights unless you're actually holding him up to the same standard of bull**** that he spews in his self-promotion soundbytes (ie better than Ali and SRR) - which you shouldn't do. He isn't and will never be on their level (even if he did beat Pacquiao, Martinez, Williams, and both Klitschkos).

I'm also FAR from being a Mayweather fanboy. :yep Unlike you, I don't have a chip on my shoulder impeding my ability to be objective. :hi:

why should he jump 2 divisions to fight a middleweight?

i agree he should have fought pac and cotto, but this is a bit too far.

he cant be expected to jump to 160. and he certainly wont get no credit for weight-draining them down to 147.
