Once he moved 2-3 divisions beyond his initial weight, he didn't fight every single contender there. That's the only real way you can say he "ducked" anyone. Kinda ridiculous.

Did Floyd fight every single bone fide challenger at all 5 weights he fought at? No. Is he a ducker because of that? No.

At their original/normal fighting weight, yes. But once someone has proven dominance in their natural division, if they go up in weight then they have leeway to pick & choose who they fight based on box office draw, challenge, glamour etc. When Sugar Ray Leonard went to middleweight, did he have to beat 5 contenders before fighting Hagler? Did Duran have to beat the top 4 or 5 middleweight contenders before fighting Barkley? C'mon.

go watch the mayweather post fight interview after the bruselles fight...this was in jan 2005.FACT...shane did fight two other fights at 147...FACT..then 2 more at 154 against vargas..then said in the post fight interview after the second vargas fight that he wont fight pbf that year and he would take the rest of the year off to get his tooth fixed
