His last fight was at 147 and according to his chef he's been eating to gain weight. In his two previous fights at 154, the highest he's weighed in at is 151, so yeah, he's moving up.

Any actual proof that Floyd "demanded" a catchweight?

no it was canelo who demanded to come in lighter even tho he already has to shed over 20lbs to make weight- he would actually prefer to shed 22lbs instead

and all that **** that floyd said about a guy being at a disadvantage by being made to drain ?

Yeah well forget all that, he was just joking.

    Absolootly not

Manny Pacquiao ruined all credit for beating Oscar
Andre Ward ruined all credit for beating Dawson

If Canelo can handle the weight, then of course, Floyd will get credit. But if Alvarez is hindered, then of course the weight thing will come up

According to Mayweather's team it was Canelo who offered to come in lighter, and it's his own fault that he has to shed 20lbs because he packs them on between fights... Just as it was Hatton's fault that he ballooned up to 180+ between fights and had to cut 40+lbs to get to 140. He could train and diet year round and avoid having to quickly shed so much weight.

**** Mayweather, they play these ***** arse games. He fought De La Hoya at 154, and fought Cotto at 154, fact is Canelo wouldn't have gotten the fight, unless he agreed to the catch weight. Mother **** Ellerbe's ***** arse. **** Mayweather for being a *****. I hope Canelo comes in at 154, and KO's Mayweather. These dudes are hypocritical *****s. Criticize Pac for Catch weights but then only give Canelo a fight if he comes in at a catch weight.

Of course he deserves credit. Alvarez may or may not be drained. However, Mayweather is 36 and is going up 5 lbs. He's actually gaining weight for the fight.

Moving up? Didn't Mayweather fight at the full limit of 154 against Cotto & De Le Hoya and holds 2 titles @ 154?

But demands a catchweight in this fight.

Not giving him the full credit honestly. It's a whole different issue losing weight and gaining weight. Plus the fact that Alvarez most likely is weighing in below what he's comfortable and used to.

Better than what? Everyone with the exception of Pacquiao would love the type of payday that comes with fighting Floyd. Sergio even offered to come down a full weightclass to fight him. I really wasn't the least bit surprised to hear that Canelo's team offered to come down two pounds for the most lucrative fight out there.

This doesn't negate the fact that I think catchweights are gay as **** and should never be for a legitimate title, but if they offered to come in at 152 then how can you call it Floyd's demand?

Canelo himself has repeatedly stated that the weight isn't an issue, so who in the **** is anyone else to say it is?

He deserves as much credit as Pacquiao got for beating Cotto
