A man who wins at least 10 of the 12 rounds most of the time and you guys think he only fights to the level of his competition?

    This is laugh-worthy, I'm sorry.

Jesus Chavez and Diego Corrales were both expected by many to beat Mayweather @ Featherweight.

Castillo and N'Dou at lightweight. N'Dou was knocking guys out everywhere leading up to the Mayweather fight.

Gatti, Bruseles and Corley at light welter were the best at that time and clear challenges.

There are some notable welterweights missing from his card, I'll give you that. However, being critical of him going up to fight De La Hoya at DLH's weight when DLH was still a top-level boxer is absurd. The same people are praising Manny for draining Oscar down to 147 and beating him up a year and a half later? Silly.

Ricky Hatton was undefeated and marketable before Floyd murdered him. Manny chased Floyd's sloppy seconds here as well and gets praised for it? Weird.

Truth is, boxers look shitty against Floyd because he is far superior. He is smarter and is able to adjust his gameplan better than anyone. That is one clear and distinct advantage over Manny which will be the difference in my opinion.

I think he does because he never fights the exact same fight IMO.

That's bull****. Flat out. Floyd has shown grit all through his career and if you seriously think his heart/grit has never been tested, you just haven't seen his fights. Not going to elaborate deeper than that.

FMJ is just an amazing boxer. He knows if he can't beat you with speed (95%) of boxing's elite, he can beat you with timing. So does he fight to the level of his competition? Hell no. There is no reason to. He KNOWS that if you let him stay outside and smack you in the face for 12 rounds the outcome is set in stone, snooze fest = opponent's lose fest. The only way to change this is for the OPPONENT to make the fight.

To this day there have been relatively few men who could even ATTEMPT this and make the fight look competitive:

    01. Zab Judah
    02. Corely
    03. Ndou
    04. Castillo

In no particular order. All of those men used some attribute to force a brutal fight with FMJ.

Castillo was probably the most impressive as he used sheer will and pressure. Unfortunately for Castillo, the return fight was much different giving even more credibility to Mayweather's claims of being hurt.
