In the ring can you point out any bad habits or things he should work on. Like for example Cotto needs to work on his defense.

He is as De La Hoya says open for a jab because of that defence he uses.

It's another thing exploiting it though....

There's nothing he really needs to work on; he's a complete fighter who's been able to achieve ATG status.

However, in terms of textbook technique, he isn't a perfect fighter. That's not necessarilly a bad thing though. He keeps his chin up in the air, holds his hands very low on occasion, and backs straight up at times as well. He has the reflexes and speed to get away with it so this isn't an issue or a problem.

Guys like Juan Manuel Marquez and Ricardo Lopez are near perfect in terms of being textbook. Floyd is very technical, but not textbook.

His biggest succeptabilities are to technical pressure and longer/taller jabbers.

    That's a good call

He fights well out of the high-guard, but is too open for an uppercut and overhand right.

None that have been exposed consistently. DLH landed his jab a couple of times but we was he more reluctant to throw it in the later rounds? Cause floyd started timing him and countering him with his hand speed. Thats what makes him so great. He makes any adjustment he needs to in a fight.

It's easy to say he's open for the right hook, but Hatton who's a very good inside fighter couldn't land it, Floyd is very clever on the inside, not easy to hit at all.

Doesnt like a jab. Hates a good jab. For the past few years Ive said Hearns destroys Mayweather, a la Duran.

Not consistantly. He has weaknesses, but that is more due to style than any technical flaw.

Everything to beat him? huh? Hand speed? no. Defense? no. A great jab? No. So how does he have what it takes to beat him.

Cotto has very good handspeed, a decent defense (not as bad as some make it out to be, but not elite or well above average by any means), and a great jab. Along with that, he is very consistant, skilled, and has superb timing.

Cotto's jab is actually quite good. His handspeed gets high marks as well. I favor Mayweather, but Cotto has a shot.

I was watching various fights of Mayweather the other day on youtube and noticed that when he goes on the offensive tends to lean forward, exposing himself for a counter- not that anybody's been fast or good enough to catch him. I'm not sure if this is even a flaw though. Has anybody else noticed this or is it my imagination?
