freddie has top fighters in his stable because their talented but could he also see the money making potential of coaching foreign fighters with fanatical support from their home nation? maybe he doesn't always put talent first! you need fanatical fans in order to bring in big bucks in this sport and where are these fanatical fans? phillipines, ireland, uk, mexico?

manny pacqiauo: will always fill stadiums regardless but im sure his devoted phillipine fans make up for a large pecentage.

amir khan: the cash cow in britain can fill any football stadium, and has at least 20,000 adoring fans willing to travel to america for any fight.

cesar chavez: not the most talented but of course has the name, plus a big mexican fan base in america.

jamie kavangah: talented fighter who will probably be irelands biggest star soon which makes for huge money making potential.( the irish love boxing)

jose benadavidez: may not be with roach anymore but he did chose to work with him. gonna be the next mexican american super star so he'll have loyal and devoted fans filling out stadiums for the next ten years.

in my opinion these fighters are some of the biggest potential money spinners in the sport is that a coincidence?
im not saying roach pics fighters only for money making potential but who would blame him if he did? its a business after all!

well im sure many go to his gym, but he agrees to train them. im sure he weighs up the the positive and negative.

will he make me more rich or won't he? and im afraid that isn't always about talent. im sure their were better options than cesar chavez jnr.

Local fighters have to compete with other local fighters for coverage and fans, while foreign fighters, when they are facing American fighters especially, end up getting the bulk of their back home audience behind them.

i dont think trainers pick and choose, believe it or not many fighters dont want to train with the roach's and steward's they like to stick to their regional hometown trainers, so those guys dont really have the options of picking and choosing.

take khan for example he picked that cuban guy over roach because the guy was available to come to the uk and train him where as with roach he would have to go to america.

You're getting Hatton mixed up with Khan.

I doubt Khan can fill out a Stadium, and it's Hatton who can bring 20K over. Khan does about 5K at best.

Khan can fill out any 23K arena in the UK though.
