why are you concentrated on khan? my point is about roach seeing more money making value in foreign fighters. plus ricky hatton couldn't fill out 23k stadiums at 24. he became a huge star at about 29. so basically amir is ahead of ricky you dum ****!

Since when was Miguel Cotto a foreigner to America?

Puerto Rico = United States territory, and about as close as any other state. Hell, puerto ricans make NY their second home.

i have a feeling amir will be bigger than Hatton especially since he's got more talent but i don't think he'd age well like pacquiao. he'd be done at an early age like morales or dela hoya

on topic, freddie has his gym in LA, the center of immigrants from asia, mexico, etc. that explains why freddie always gets non-citizens

Ummmmm........ yes he was. He was selling out those same arenas that Khan is now at 24 and way before he ever fought for a title.

And Hatton wasnt even an olympic star and wasnt pampered and promoted his whole career like Khan was.

So Hatton was more popular then Khan even before he won a title and was the same age as Khan is now so how do you like them apples you dum

Ummm no. You need to educate yourself right now rather than make yourself look stupid. Puerto Rico is not a country, just like the US Virgin islands isn't another country. It's a U.S. commonwealth. All puerto ricans are 100% U.S. Citizens, so yes you can call them 100% Americans. If they take up residence in any US state, they can vote, and live 100% American just like any other.

Seriously... you didn't know this? :patschHere's another interesting fact: there are more puerto ricans living outside of puerto rico than within (most concentrated in NYC).

well done you completely proved my hole thread wrong. remind me what your point is again? are you saying amir khan isn't popular? their probably isn't much in it for popularity in th uk at the same age. also hatton only had the uk fans at that point but amir is known and supportd world wide. in other words probably more popular at the same age! khan is roach's knew cash cow! fact!

I really doubt Roach, and even Manny Steward, cares about a fighter's nationality. In fact, you should look at the other way around...foreign fighters go to the world's best boxing trainers, who happen to be American.

My point was proving what you said wrong and I did that.

And Khan is supported world wide? He's fought in only two different countries and most of the fans at his fights in america traveled there from the UK to see him.:patsch
Just admit you were wrong. Yes Khan is very popular but he's not close to as popular as Hatton was. Maybe he will in the future maybe he wont but that wasnt what you said.

you said in an earlier post that amir doesn't get people travelling to see him. if most of the fans were from the uk, that must of been like 10,000 fans right? thats not bad for 23.

i will let you have your victory. ok he isn't quite as popular as hatton. but im not sure many have ever been!

Mate,, you need to read what I wrote.

I just said Khan does at best, 5K in the U.S!

He fills out 23K Stadiums in the UK.

Not that hard to figure out.

Yes, I'm well aware of that. You do know I'm probably one of the biggest Khan fans on the board. That's not just a rumour.

You sure are making yourself look like a fool. Australia is not a British Commonwealth, it is part of the Commonwealth of Nations , which is just a loose organization of FORMER british colonies in cooperation together. The Booker Prize, for example, is awarded only to commonwealth of nation members.

You obviously don't know the difference. :patsch
So Puerto Rico is a foreign country because it has its own football team? :patsch

Seriously, go pick up an encyclopaedia and read about Puerto Rico. Learn the term "commonwealth" also.

How many Puerto Ricans do you know? Many of my friends are Puerto Rican, they served alongside with me in the military. They don't fight for Puerto Rico, they fight for the U.S. They're 100% US Citizens just like me, and they DON"T consider themselves "part of another country." They have homes in Puerto Rico but make their residence in NY, and because most Puerto Ricans migrated to NYC the bulk of the Puerto Rican population now reside OUTSIDE of PR. That's why your post makes you look real foolish

Commonwealth status allows them for separate representation in events like football, pageants, etc... but PR is U.S. territory first and foremost and the people are 100% American with 100% of the rights/benefits of any other American living stateside.
