Does Froch become a ATG if he beats Bute?

    I'm a big Froch fan, but no way not yet. He's got to take some big scalps convincingly and consecutively.

    Beating Bute would be a good start, then winning a rematch with Kessler would help,scalping B-Hop and Cleverly at LH etc etc.

    No but he gets back to the picture of the best Division in boxing these days and lives for another good payday against a name fighter and as a champ, not a gatekeeper. I doubt that he wins tho.

    ATG? Nowadays a guy wins a few fights and people think he is ATG material. No he would not be.

    Hes far too beatable to ever be an ATG to me. And he wont beat Bute. Im still not sure how good Bute is but hes better than Froch and will beat him, Froch is set up for Bute.

    I think you're selling Froch short going into this one. If Froch is beatable, Bute is a loss waiting to happen.
