The bookies have it a 50/50 fight. Depends who's the smarter fighter on the night.

Froch is doing everything better than Pavlik except for pressure. If he puts enough pressure and send a couple of times Taylor in the cables, it's over.

    Froch certainly has a chance.

    40-45 % IMO.

He's unbeaten and he's got balls and heart, if limited skill.

I'll be rooting for Taylor though. (Froch is a bit of a ****).

But if the mother****er doesn't come through for me this time (I picked him TWICE over Pav), then I'll probably give up on him, and call him some bad names.

Honestly, if someone with the journeyman ability of Lacy can put Taylor on his arse, Froch is capable of it as well. He would need a KD or two to win by decision, i think. Its a real 50/50 fight for me, it will come down to how much Froch wants it when the going gets tough. He needs to be able to take a few shots to deliver the big one.

This won't be the Jermain Taylor that fought Hopkins.

    Leaning towards Froch atm.

Taylor has great skills and good speed but! The question I am asking my self is can Taylor take SMW power and dies he have the heart for a war. Also Froch has a good chin and Taylor could not even stop Cory Spinks.

I'd say Taylor. Nice guy. Froch has pissed off enough of his own countrymen with his Calzaghe crap that he has toasted himself. Hell, even I have pretty much laid of Calzaghe since he retired. At his age, in this business, I won't fault him. So, you have the possibility of Taylor winning back at least the American audiance if he performs well and shows focus. He was pretty humble before Pavlik and even more so now. Froch will always be Froch. I don't see him gaining much support outside of Nottingham. Well, let me revise that. He would have to win some big fights and change his tone. The hole he has dug himself would take two years to dig himself out of.

I've said it before, Tayor was already having problems at 160. I think a lot of what people disliked about him stems from that. But, that is my guess. We shall soon see.

Froch is a likeable guy to a degree, and the more of his interviews and stuff I've read, I have taken to liking the guy (although his recent ones, he sounds a lot more arrogant). However, I strongly feel this fight is JT's to lose. I think we'll see a newly motivated JT, fighting for a World Title once again.

I have also just considered he is very poorly managed. I know you read a British boxing rag and know more about him that I do.

If Froch was in the ring with Cory Spinks I guarantee he would not stop him. Froch is slow as ****. Let me repeat, he is slow as ****. Slow for a super middle. Spinks ran the whole entire fight against JT. Nobody at 160 would knock out a running Spinks. JT will beat this clown b/c his camp did their homework and know what they are dealing with. They know his strengths and his weaknesses. This fight is for JT to lose doing a JT. Froch just sprawls around the ring like an idiot and puts his gloves down and when a guy comes at him he tries to stop, plant and fire a right uppercut or to the body. All very very slowly and predictably. His long arms are the only reason he connects sometimes and including the bums he has been fighting to make him look good. The first time he fought a credible guy he barely won and had to get in a dog fight. If JT boxes him and makes him pay IF he gets aggressive JT will win and fairly easily. The jab is the key b/c JT can lead and counter with it. Double it, throw the hook off of it. Froch is there to be hit and he pretty much needs to win by KO to win.

Completely agree with your point about Froch's speed especially his worryingly slow footwork. Froch turns as quick as a tank. Some people underestimate the importance of quick feet. Andrade said after the Kessler fight that he got killed by Kessler's footwork.

Froch is going to have rely on his power and some how make this a scrappy war.

It sounds like the thinking in the Froch camp is that Pascal is stronger than Taylor and therefore Taylor wont be able to hurt Froch. I can see there is a strong case for picking a disciplined Taylor to outbox Froch and win on points.
