Serious question. I personally don't think he does. Firstly there was the whole Hennesey proposed "we want the 70-30 split", which is ridiculous considering the vast majority of the American/World audience would be tuning in to see Taylor not Froch. THen theres the risk factor. If Froch fought Taylor in America, I'm sorry, but the only chance he'd have of Froch winning is if Taylor had a really really bad day. Then theres this: http://www.frankwarren.tv/drill/News/Articles/2008/12/09/frankly-speaking-14123.html Read what Warren says about Froch pretending to want to fight Calzaghe, but in reality not really wanting the fight. This is coming from Warrne recently, post Calzaghe fall out, so i don't see why he has reason to lie. Yeah, I know the guys an idiot, but still. Froch and the whole Hennesey team are big on self promotion, but most people can see whats the bigger picture, surely
Warren is never credible so I didn't even read what he said. Taylor should take the shitty split, beat Froch, and then go back to making money fights. Froch has no choice to face Taylor or drop his title, unless Taylor decides to go elsewhere. If Taylor is the real deal then Froch should not pose much of a problem.
Warren spends 90% of his time try to discredit the fighters he hasn't got rather than promoting the ones he has. Can he get more bitter and twisted???
from what i remember hennesey said "if it goes to purse bids we get a 70-30 split so if team taylor want us to go to america they should make us a substantial offer. i do not follow abc rankings so i do not know for sure , but i have seen it commented on that taylor was ranked 2 and froch 1 when the vacant belt was up and team taylor declined the fight and pascal was the next in line.
I know Warrens an idiot, I don't like the guy, but I don't think everything he says is completely fabricated. I think theres some substance in his opinions on things, although i agree he's got a bitter streak.
Yeah but but i'm talking abot now. I think it's different now Froch has got the belt. I think he did want the bout when there was a chance of him winning the title because he never knew when the next opportunity would come round. However, now he's champion he has everything to lose rather than everything to gain, and there a pretty good chance he could lose everything if he fought Taylor
I believe Froch thinks he can do a better job on Taylor than Pavlik did. I'm also willing to bet that he feels he is a bit more of a handful than Spinks and Ouma.
I don't know, but I doubt Taylor takes the fight if it goes to bid. Froch/team probably knew this and negotiated accordingly.
Froch wants the fight. Taylor probably does as well, but wants more than 30% and to have to come to the UK.
Yes, it's the biggest winnable fight out there for him (not saying he would defiantly win, but he could). Does Taylor really wanna fight Froch? :think
If Froch wants to be recognised as good fighter he needs to get all his big fights in the next year. This is because the amount of times he gets hit is simply ridiculous. I really like him - he is very, very exciting to watch. He must know this about his abilities in the ring, so I reckon he wants this fight and all the big fights.
Of course he wants the Taylor fight, Taylor has a big name and a win would look very nice on Froch's resume.
