I'm not a hater, Fury is one of my favorites. He literally schooled Wilder.

The problem I have is that Wilder literally only landed like 3 good punches the entire fight. Is Fury's chin suspect? He's been knocked down by a journeyman, Cunningham, and Wilder. Beyond that, he never really takes any hard shots with his elite defense.

Is he another Wlad that can dominate the HW divison with a weak chin? IMO he has good recovery skills regardless of his chin though

My god. Does Muhammad Ali have a weak chin? Larry Holmes? Both have been down repeatedly, and in both cases, nearly ko'd (Cooper and Shavers). But they are properly regarded as having ATG chins. The fact that they went down in their career mattered MUCH less than how they got up, and who they faced.

Fury faced arguably the hardest hitters of two separate era's. One failed to even hurt him. The other failed to ko him, despite landing a punch combo that would have ended virtually anyone else. Fury has a great chin. Maybe not in the Vitali Klitschko, Oliver McCall, Marius Wach fashion, but in the Ali, Holmes, Holyfield fashion. Part of chin is recovery, as with those fighters, as much as not getting kd'd or hurt in the first place.

Fury used to come forward and mix it up all the time. Since being dropped by Pajkic and Cunningham, he's changed his style to defensive safety first, behind the jab from the outside, which he is very good at. Pretty indicative that he has a suspect chin when he's getting dropped pretty hard by the likes and changing his style to one where hes very difficult to hit. Mind you, Cunningham was a cruiserweight with a less than 50% ko ratio, and he absolutely decked Fury and rocked the bejesus out him.

I think he has a very curious mix of a weakish chin but superb recovery powers. Every time he's been knocked down, including in the Wilder fight, he's bounced back stronger.

The gypsy warrior is most certainly unique.

Marquez had a similar chin: hed get knocked down alot but recover. I think maybe they reason with themselves that once they get properly hit flush, they almost voluntarily fall over to avoid taking follow up shots, and to give themselves time to recover knowing they will be able to outbox the other guy when they get up.

Yes, it's a little weak. Cunningham rocked him quite a few times in their fight, and Firtha had him on badly shaken legs. McDermott stunned him as well to my knowledge.

He's got ridiculous recuperative powers though, a bit like Ali transplanted with Joe Louis.

KDs are not the best measure of a chin.

    KOs are.

    The Gypsy King

Down against Donkey, non punchers Pajkic and Cunningham, and Firtha hurt him and made his legs dip. I've heard rumours of him being dropped in sparring too.

    Donkey Wilder

Dropped, wobbled everytime he was hit (and even sometimes when he wasn't), legs made to dance to two different genres of music at the same time (chicken dance and salsa aka The Chicken Salsa) and stopped by Romanov in the amateurs.

Dropped x 2 and badly hurt in sparring by Wlad with big gloves and head gear on and word on the street is Wlad sparked him out. Dillian Whyte claims to have seen footage of him being KO'd in the gym and we all know Whyte has been pushing hard for that fight for years and that Donkey wants no part of him.

Wobbled good and hurt by Eric Molina

And he was ''dropped hard with only the bell saving him from being knocked out'' by Harold Sconiers and it ''took forever for his head to clear.'' The footage for that fight has vanished from existence but a reliable source who shall remain nameless informs me that only the master copy of it survives which is buried deep in Al Haymon's vault in a secret location down a in mine somewhere in Alaska

To be fair to him he did display good punch resistance in the Old Man River Ortiz fight albeit Ortiz did have him in big trouble

    Anthony ''AJ'' Joshua

Wobbled badly bandy leg style and hurt and stopped by Mihai Nistor in the amateurs. He did finish on his feet but only because the ref rightfully waved it off

He was also dropped by Dillian White in the amateurs and badly hurt by a left hook from him in the pros

Dropped hard by Wlad in the pros but unlike Donkey never hit the canvas in the gym when they sparred each other

And David Price dropped him flat on his face hard in sparring and he needed assistance to make it out of the ring.

not really but his massive size obviously hinders his balance.

Oh the internet strikes again. All or nothing. Fast or slow. Right or wrong. Weak or strong.

No, it's not weak. No. it's not iron. Like with 90% of boxers the truth about Fury's chin lies somewhere between the two. It's strong enough for him to be a fighter who has never been stopped. Or beaten....

First KD was a flash one. Nobody would have stood off that left hook and very few others would have got back up. I don’t think Fury, Wilder or AJ have weak chins at all.
