Does GGG get a lot of credit if he manages to beat Canelo?

Unless Canelo gets KO'd or absolutely Bivol'd I disagree.

It would be a blemish yes, but he has a huge fanbase and it could be viewed that Canelo went 1-1-1 against a future HOFer. He would drop hevily in the P4P rankings but... who cares? He would still be a marketable fighter and be the #1 draw in boxing. More people may even grow to like him if the stigma of him always getting decisions were gone. If he gets sparked however, then I think we are having a different conversation.

Well your right. The reality of the matter is GGG should be 44-0 with (37 by ko) with 24 title defenses( 20 by ko). The question should now be whether GGG can go up at the age of 40 and beat him again for all his belts at 168lbs and a chance for Canelo to avenge his two losses.

Shame Clenelo aged him out. Got the referees to rig two fights and makes him move up in weight lol. Clenelo is a clown and his fans are the worst.

The supposed best fighter of our generation also gave up the WBC belt to age out his mandatory GGG in 2016 and eventually fought him 16 month later or he was to be stripped iirc . GGG did not get the best advice when he stepped aside to allow Canelo v Cotto whilst he himself was the mandatory,he could well have been Champion in 2015.
