The decline is here and well documented Brook: if the eye socket didn’t go there’s a good chance the fight could have gone 8 plus rounds Jacobs: life and death fight Canelo 1: very competitive fight with the smaller guy, most thought he won Canelo 2: very close fight, drawish Canelo 3: canelo wins clearly I believe Now GGG took his first career loss. He left the ring in anger and shock. He’s been completely out of the media no interviews. I take it he’s taken this loss rather hard. It’s possible his desire for the sport could be irreversibly harmed. Does the man have what it takes to make one more great performance? I hope so
Of course he left the ring in anger He'd totally out boxed old Moonelo & clearly won the fight but got SCREWED111111 What I would love to have seen was Floyd- Pac Floyd- Margarito & GGG -Canelo all in their primes in 100% on the level fights with no corruption & the nest man on the night deservedly getting the wins Sadly do to the corruption in the sport we never got to see that I feel GGG * Margarito would win those fights
Yes; I think GGG saying ...'I hope he does come at me'... meant he would control the ring more easily; not necessarily go toe to toe; still be there.... but not have to chase his opponent and compete head to head, so to speak.
I tend to agree. It is such a tragedy that when stars are fading is when they start earning their biggest paydays, making it near impossible to walk away, even the smarter ones. The best GGG was 7 or 8 years ago. If he and Canelo were both 28 GGG KO's him. But that's not how life works and how pathetic that Canelo chose to run the clock before he dared to step into the ring with GGG and on top of it stacks the judges' deck. If it wasn't for the money influencing outcomes GGG would still be undefeated and on top of the MW division. And Canelo would be what he should be, a tough, competitive Mexican fighter with a very good record against top competition. But to have Canelo at the top after supposedly beating GGG is wrong. Just flat out wrong.
