    Whoa, hey,hey,hey Toney was found to be on a banned substance after the Ruiz fight but it was a weight loss drug. He was not in need of any ENHANCEMENT because his skill was phenomenal.

    so substances that let you lose weight should not banned then? does that mean that Chavez Jr. didn't have an advantage over his opponents when he used diuretics to lose weight (used them at least once)?

    if Toney was so sure of his phenomenal skills, he wouldn't have needed to use diuretics to lose that fast-food fat

    "They have a right to appeal," Garcia said Wednesday. "My recommendation is suspension until the end of the licensing year and a $2,500 fine for both. We will give them the 30 days to appeal. If they don't, that's what the suspension will be."

    Toney tested positive for boldenone and stanazolol, and Batchelder tested positive for stanazolol and oxandolone, Garcia said. If they don't appeal, the boxers would be suspended one year from the date of their fight.

    "We have a detailed anti-doping program in place in this state," Armando Garcia, the commission's executive director, told The Los Angeles Times for Wednesday's editions. "If they come here doping, they're going to get caught."

    Toney got popped for Nandrolone the other time he tested positive, IIRC.

    There was no SMW division back then. The only thing North of 160 for Monzon and Hagler was ATG LHWS Bob Foster and Michael Spinks. Even so, MW back then was tough. Not like the clowns we see today.

    GGG would fight any top MW willing to get his a$$ kicked. The reason he has to fight Monroes is that Cotto, Canelo, Quillin, Jackobs, N'Dam, etc. are in hiding all "wanting" to fight him, "but not next".
