Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. He’d probably take more flak for cancellation and be viewed favorably for fighting a cheater.

I think he should pull out and fight Saunders instead. All this talk of payday, the man made plenty of money in his last fight and will still make a considerable amount against Saunders. If he feels cheated by the cards in Vegas (as well he should) and then agrees to fight in Vegas AGAIN and then agrees to fight off the back of a positive drugs test from Canelo, then well sorry buddy but you've made your own grave.

Canelo will get the nod in a closer fight. Fight number 3 will happen and Canelo will probably win totally cleanly in that one.

Saunders is too fleet footed for G at this stage, his movement would be to fast for him, and the dough is’nt anywhere near good enough. I can see him retiring after Canelo. I don’t think he’s going to be able to pull off unifying at this stage with BJS

If BJS runs and doesn’t land enough leather, he leaves himself open to a loss. I think GGG still bests him.

He will land, BJS is the uncrowned daddy of all @ 160. Imo he will be the man to beat for a while when G hangs them up. 35/6 yr old Golovkin is tailor made for him if they fight

If he pulls out, G is going to be known as the guy that was scared of fighting Canelo again. If he pulls out, Golovkin will be seen as a coward who couldn't beat Canelo and ran away when he finally met a fighter who could beat him, and that's not something he is I don't think. Golovkin is not a coward, even if his fans make him look like one for how much they complain about everything and now are wanting him to pull out.

The positive drug test has seemed to give many of his fans the excuse that makes pulling out justifiable but pulling out is still cowardly especially when it's unclear what caused the positive test, and that fanbase already is known for complaining about everything they can possibly complain about.

It's kind of a sad state of affairs as far as the excessive complaining and the excuses, but on the other hand there is the positive drug test and the dodgy Byrd scorecard. At the end of the day, we as fans have been bombarded by too many distractions, when it really should be about a fight that everybody should be looking forward to.

I think Saunders is a tough night for him but I think Lemieux's feet are perhaps overstating Saunders' a little at this stage. Golovkin can actually cut a ring off and throw a jab

Well, not to me and some others. Canelo seems to have largely got rid of the 'scared' tag he had when he binned the WBC belt under the guise of not being forced into negotiations with a timeline. And he will also have the tag (to some, not necessarily me) of needing to dope to try to beat GGG, so it works both ways. On one hand I do admire the ideal of "don't care, I'll fight you anyway" but its justification is money and not pride, which is where it loses credence to me.

Let's be real though, the fight will still happen so this is all mostly pointless chatter. It'll be early hours of the morning and I'll be sat in a bar in Budapest with my GGG t-shirt probably covered in vomit and hooker's ****. Let's go boys.

Pffft. Everybody knows he won the first fight.

That's despite Clenelo's "miraculous transformation" into a fleet footed antelope which suddenly seems VERY explainable.

    Hard work, medication.

GGG had a chance here to take a principled stand against drugs in sport and make a real impact. Shouldn't he take it?
