Canelo avoided the charlos GGG and andrade. Golden Boy didn't let o sullivan fighy jacobs either. lemieux didn't want to fight jacobs after being called out because he had "bigger fish to fry" . Out of these three fighers canelo is the most proven but it's lemieux that concerns me. O sullivan was actually willing to fight Danny Jacobs but Golden boy hadn't allowed it. Lemieux concerns me mainly because he has not been fighting top level competition . Only BJS GGG both losses . But he wants to get back in the mix. I have a feeling he's just gonna fight guys like Gabe Rosado Glenn Tapia Cristian Rios . Don't get me wrong he's powerful Lemieux can hang but won't get amother title shot fighting c - d+ competition. He needs to fight Jacobs Andrade Derevychenko . Heck Jacobs Andrade and Derevychenko have all said they want Lemieux and he's just declined. Anyways he is one of my favourite middleweights I'm just disappointed of the ducking . He's 29 years old . You guys think he will face jacobs charlo andrade derevychenko . Or will he continue fighting C- D + fighters . He can't duck forever
Beside Canelo I would say no. Jo jo Diaz is fighting GRJ who despite being inactive is a beast. Ryan Garcia was supposed to fight Gamboa. I think gbp actually matches there fighters pretty evenly. Unlike top rank who just recycles fights.
And he fought all those guys by the time he was 26 years old. Would love to see the resume of a fighter who is not as protected as Canelo.
Canelo was a bit protected after he fought Lara and Trout. There was a string or Kirkland, Cotto, Khan, Smith, and Chavez Jr. It's the opposite of a murderers row. While young lions were avoided. That being said, Oscar was willing to feed Leo PantyCruz to Rigondeaux, which was the trigger for captain savem, I mean Haymon to fly in and save Pantycruz from the asswhooping.
