Wow the golota nuthuggers are still standing strong on this site......... Still doesn't change the fact he has a bad chin. Maybe not glass but below average. You don't get TKO'd in the 1st round twice because you have a great chin like some of you morons are saying. Every puncher he fought dropped him. Bowe, Grant, Tyson, Lewis, Brewster.

Bowe = 25 rabbit punches before AG went down.

Grant = 1 good shot on the chin & then 35 punches to drop him.

Tyson = 1 monster shot that put Golota down, but he was up instantly.

Lewis = weird ass circimstances leading up to that fight, but he definitely got caught with some good powerful LL punches. No excuse here.

Brewster = 1 of the greatest left hooks landed in boxing history & Andrew kept getting up for more. Brewster was jacked sky high that night. No one in there with him would have survived.

You can't even see this punch coming & look at that follow through...deadly!

When you don't see the punch coming and you're not ready for it, the best chin in the world can't hold up. This type of strike to the head (especially the chin) rotates the head sharply and causes compression to the spinal cord restricting feelings in the body and compresses the arteries in the neck restricting blood flow to the brain. Your best defense is to have a thick and strong neck, and being alert and ready so you can lock the neck muscles to prepare for impact.

Golota's chin is as good as it gets.

 

I'd agree with many here - that his weakness is mental - he goes into meltdown to easily....sort of like Tyson when he thinks he's going to loose.

His chin I think is decent - definately not glass or china. In fact really I dont think anyone gets into the top 10 in world rankings with a glass chin - the true 'glass chins' get exposed a long way before they break into the world rankings...which of course means they never get there.

Like has been said - if you dont see a punch coming your in big trouble if its coming from a big puncher...gotta see it and brace yourself!!

 

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but i suggest you watch his fight with Lewis. He was wobbling around the entire ring.
