Does Golovkin Beat ,Tiger,Zale,and Lamotta ?

is he not more a L-HW stature wise, in other words many would not have met him and if so, in that era, GGG would have done like most of them and fought there at L-HW and at Catchweights UP.

 

I usually have no problem picking older smaller fighters from past eras to beat the bigger guys of r vintage, and have typically attributed it to ring smarts and skill. The ability to think clearly

Ha, thanks BCS. I agree it ended up being a bit of a massacre. But, that is because Lemieux was short on skills and heart. But, it was almost exclusively a jab beat-down by an (overly, in my opininon) cautious GGG. I was a big GGG fan. But, in that fight, I saw that he was either starting to lose a step or 2, or, was just not quite as good as I originally thought. His subsequent fight against the pedestrian Daniel Jacobs confirmed this. In my opinion these two sub-par performances are what finally convinced Canelo that GGG might finally be ripe for the taking.

 

If that was a sub par performance, then what was a good one? Lemieux chasing his own head back to the dressing room? Jacobs is an excellent fighter. Moreover let's not forget that Golovkin was weight drained and Jacobs was not. That sort of thing makes a big difference. It's also why I think that on a same day weigh in, all bets are off because we have no idea how good a drained Golovkin would be against high-intensity opponents.

 

I think he beats zale and lamotta. But i got tiger beating him in a razor split decision.

 

Both could get outboxed, ggg got outboxed by canelo in the second fight and even by derevanchenko but derevanchenko got robbed . Both of them are more then just punchers. Its a very even fight it could go either way. But for me i think tiger had the power, technique and incredible stamina to give golovkin a tough fight. Plus he is an agressive counterpuncher kinda like canelo alvarez similar stylewise. Both tiger and canelo are walk-down pressure fighters with great counterpunching ability. Golovkin vs tiger would be a literal war stylistically speaking. But i will go with tiger. He is more proven to me and he fought in much harder middleweight era. Im a fan of both guys.

 

True, i don't think lamotta or zale would beat golovkin though . Golovkin is too skillfull, durable and powerful for them. Lamotta would literally take a beating of his life against golovkin. Lamotta didn't had power or skills to trouble golovkin at all. Golovkin haves the iron chin himself. I will admit i didn't saw a lot of zale fights. But from what i saw he is a very hittable guy that didn't had athleticism or skills to beat golovkin.
