If you have to cheat to avoid punches you didn't outBOX anyone. Boxing has slips, and rolls, and defined rules, Haney was doing whatever he wanted regardless of BOXING. If fair is fair, Kam should be able to kick him in the face. And now that we established how ridiculous it is to be able to break rules you should change your tune and say, "If haney is really legit he should be able to win without CHEATING". Especially since HE'S A WEIGHT BULLY AND HAS NO BUSINESS FIGHTING AT THAT WEIGHT. AGAIN MORE ADVANTAGES.
There are several wonderful jab in boxing today, all named yet. If i have to choose one of them, at the moment, considered between recent performance, i would say Spence. When a southpaw master the jab and has a good chi he became almost unbeatable. The way he uses the jab to set up straight right hand or right hand is just beautiful. He incessantly marks the opponent face with the glove. He brokes two orbital bones with that way to set up punches. Just awsome. Obviously ggg jab, Bivol and Usyk are great. Generally East european fighters has always great jab
As we can see, opinions vary quite a bit on who has the best jab in boxing. But you'd be hard pressed to find a performance that a jab kept the opponent out of punching range more so than Haney vs Kambosos. While people might consider other fighter's jabs "better" than Haney's, the question I would ask if what specifically makes their jabs "better" than Haney's? Some fighters might have faster or harder jabs, but many of those jabs are not as rangy as Haney's. If we limit it to who's jab is better at keeping his opponent at range and negating his opponents ability to land, then I think it would be hard to argue against Haney. Anotherwords, not merely the crispness or speed of the jab, which maybe some other fighters would be better than Haney, but the ability to keep your opponent out of punching range. And Haney definitely had some pop on that jab, look how marked up Kambosos's face was. For any of the guys that you say has a better jab than Haney's, can you point to a performance from any of those guys that their jab controlled his opponent, landed with the kind of regularity Haney landed it on Kambosos, and prevented their opponent from getting close enough to land to the extent that Haney prevented Kambosos from landing?
I think its between Haney and Bivol. Haney has a great snapping jab and uses it very well to set up his right hand. Bivol is accurate but he uses more as a range finder, but its very effective when hes throwing it.
GGG fullstop; a powerful, damaging jab that sets up finishes, disrupts the opponent's timing, and is just pretty to look at.
Shakur Stevenson has the best jab in boxing and is the top pound for pounder in boxing right now. Tank, Haney, Loma, Garcia the fraud will all avoid him like the plague.
