    Pacquio is a machine and must be considered the favourite, but Hatton is definitely underrated and should have his chance of winning.

    I favor Hatton in this matchup. I don't believe Pac is strong enough or a good enough boxer to handle Hatton.

    but hatton cant leave that to lets say the 7 or 8th round, by then he would have taken to much punishment. hatton has to get pacquiaos attention or he will just get overwhelmed. and everyone knows pac is the king of stamina.

    I am putting almost no emphasis on the Lazcano fight except that Lazcano is a hard enough puncher to wobble Hatton.

    What will your opinion of Pac be if he pulls it off Reg?

    Sorry mate, my post wasnt aimed directly at you. It's just that I've heard a few people using the Lazcano fight as a gauge for this

    I already have a very high opinion of Pac. I think he's one of the best fighters I've personally been able to watch. If he pulls it off my opinion of him will definately go up. A win here is similar to his win over Marquez in the sense that he would be overcoming a style disadvantage in order to beat a pretty good opponent. To me, those are the most impressive victories; the ones where you overcome a style disadvantage.

    I know this is a bit off-topic re the thread we're on, but can I then ask you Reg, what are some great examples of a fighter overcoming a severe style disadvantage from (a) boxing history, and (b) recent years?

    I know the post is directed at Reg, but I hope you dont mind me chipping in...

    I'd say (as much as I hate to admit this) that SRL's win over Duran in their second fight was edging towards a great style win (doesnt quite qualify given the manner of victory). Duran gave Leonard fits in the first fight but in the second I had SRL two rounds up going into the infamous 'no mas' round.

    I'd put Pac's win over Marquez up there too (in relation to recent years).

    That's a great question. Let's try some of these;

    Pep's one win over Sadler
    Mayweather's wins over Castillo and Corrales
    Pac's win over Marquez
    Leonard over Hearns
