Bazooka, you're making alot of sense here.. Im reassured. How will pacman deal with hatton's ability to cut off the ring?
Hatton has a fan-friendly blue collar brawling style. He's the best meat n' potatoes brawler at 140. But Pacquiao is an all-time great, and the best boxer in the world. Hatton is out of his league. That's nothing to feel ashamed about. He'll get to tell his grandkids that he was KO'd by the best pound-for-pound fighters of his time.
Pacquiao knows how to move around in the ring, his problem is he puts himself on the ropes as a result some times as if he isnt paying attention to where he is at all times in the ring. I think Manny will look extremly sharp the first 2 or 3 rounds but Hatton will be fighting back and mid way through the fight you will see Manny slowing down as a result of being pushed around. Look if Hatton pre Floyd Sr found a way to push Floyd Jr around and make it a rough fight, he will have no problem pushing mannys little ass round and making it rough, the difference here is Manny is the smaller guy and he will be effected by it. I think the right hook and uppercut are the keys for Pacquiao in this fight, but he will have to use his left hand to set those shots up, I honestly dont think this fight is a very hard one for Hatton I think Ricky is going to shock alot of people.
I agree about everything other than the part about Hatton having a fan friendly style.the guy is a mini Ruiz.
Damn, you're right, bladerunner. The dude is a clinch machine. Change that from "fan-friendly" to "hug-friendly". :good
Change your avatar back and I will take you a bit more serious~ Hatton did not clinch much with Paulie under Sr's wing and I dont expect alot here either, infact I think Hatton works off of countering Manny, using feints and making Pac pay for every false move he makes.
I don't think pacman bringing in another trainer is a sign of anything other than roach having parkinsons (or was it something else?)
indeed in the Malinaggi fight Paulie was the one doing the holding but Ricky had nothing to fear from Paulie. In the Collazo and Urango fights he was holding on for dear life and once he sees he cant match Pacs speed he will try to turn the fight in to a huggfest.
Urango doesnt have speed he tied him up to keep that power in check, Collazo was the bigger and is the bigger guy who is under rated, Collazo is a very very skilled fighter he had to do some holding this was his first fight at 147 and still won it against a peak young Collazo who did show up to win that title. But the difference in Hattons behaviour should not go un noticed, he was a bit better in his last fight he had better balance better timing and better speed IMO, he took full advantage of what he has learned with Sr and as a result he stopped Paulie, when Miguel Cotto couldnt even do that. and like I said aside of that stoppage Hatton took less punishment against Paulie than Cotto did, and if you do a poll right now on ESB who do you think the fans will say is the better boxer or the more skilled of the two:think Hatton is learning be careful
Hatton didn't need to hug Malignaggi because Paulie can't crack an egg. De la Hoya admitted he was surprised by Pacman's power. Also, Malignaggi who had already been totally dominated by Cotto looked like **** against Herman Ngoudjo where he was lucky to escape with a gift decision, and he fought miserably in the N'dou rematch. Hatton will get that look he wore against Collazo, Mayweather, and even against the mediocre Lazcano who nearly knocked his ass out before Hatton was saved by a friendly hometown ref who suddenly ordered him to tie his shoelaces. :rofl Yes, Ricky "Mini Ruiz" Hatton will return on Saturday night.
