Somebody that has actually been hit by both Haye and Tyson made a statement which has since been misconstrued and misreported. Someone starts an internet thread and a load of keyboard tappers who have never been hit by either (or anyone else) queue up to blow hot air of their arses.
Oh yeah Haye hits harder than Tyson? That ranks up with the other following nonsense that I 've heard posted; Wlad would have beaten Ali RJJ would have beaten SRR Any former heavyweight champion over 210lb would have KO'ed Marciano Lennox Lewis would have beaten Frazier, Louis, Marciano or Dempsey. PBF would have beaten Duran at 135 Ray Mancini would have KO'ed Hatton The list goes on and on.
Marciano and Dempsey would not be even heavyweights these days and they would be facing a top 10 all-time HW with enormous reach and punching power who would also outweigh them by at least 50 lbs. Those two fights would be total mismatches. Lennox vs. Frazier would look kind of like Frazier vs. Foreman. Joe Lous was also a cruiserweight (by today's weight classes) in his heyday. There was hardly anyone who would beat a prime determined Lennox Lewis. Maybe, just maybe, Ali would outpoint him, but I wouldn't bet on that. The so-called "prime" Mike Tyson, the one that existed for 1 or 2 fights, could KO Lennox, but I wouldn't bet on that either. Other than those two.... I understand that you don't like Lennox, but don't let your hatred blind you...
:bbb Tyson was a maniac fighter he swarmed over fighters like a harbour sharp who had sniffed blood. Haye is powerful but Tyson was something else.
The very fact that if someone can punch harder than you, your not going to mouth them off, just **** yourself.
I do like Lewis, however I still can't forget that he was KO'ed by one punch. Do really think that Rachman hit harder than Frazier, Louis, Dempsey, or Marciano? Or was a better fighter than any of those men? You can't just assume that Lewis would fight each one of those on his very best night. There was to big a difference between his best, and his worst outings. Take Lewis on an average night for him vs. an average night for the other 4. 90% of the time he would lose. Probably get knocked out. Lewis is not a young Foreman, he was not that aggressive. So Frazier would have a chance to get warmed up, and eventually fold Lewis up. Big guys were Joe Loius's meat. Same for Dempsey. Marciano would just wear him down. You have to admit his chin wasn't the best for such a huge guy?
His chin was also far from glass. He took some massive shots off of Vitali and Tua among others and was not close to being down.
RJJ is not strong enough, and his chin is too suspect over 15 rds (maybe 12) to beat Hagler, Monzon or SRR. You have to look at who he fought, and how he lost.
