Does Haymon have any Top 10 P4P Fighters?

I don't think you can make a case for any Haymon fighter being p4p top 10. I have Mikey Garcia top 10, but while he's fighting next on a Haymon card I don't think he's signed with Haymon. Maybe Thurman, Spence, and the Charlos could be top 20, but no way top 10. Haymon doesn't have a 'great' fighter.

Garcia is his most accomplished fighter. If Garcia wins a unification fight at WW against one of the other champs, he'll have serious discussion of being rated in the top 10 again.

All his momentum was lost after that Herrera robbery, but if he beats a Thurman or Brook, only a hater wouldn't have him in the top 10.

I'm not saying they are not good fighters but Wilder hasn't done enough and Garcia isn't doing enough in my opinion.

Only a fanboy would consider Garcia p4p. He deserves full credit for beating Matthysse and Khan, and he's a technically well-rounded, smart boxer who can beat top-level guys he stylistically matches up well against. But he didn't just deserve to lose to Herrera and Peterson, his limitations were exposed and he was proven to not be elite. A p4p fighter clearly beats Herrera and Peterson, end of. I rate Brook highly p4p, but even if Garcia beats both Thurman and Brook I would drop Brook but not consider DSG.

 

I think he's simply too slow for his style.

Danny is a two division world champion, already lineal and unified at JWW. If he beats Brook who most would have as the best WW in the world, Danny would have unified both divisions with a resume that would put most people to shame and an undefeated record on paper. He would without a doubt be in almost everyone's p4p top 10 list, your opinion on the matter is irrelevant. You wouldn't be able to name 10 boxers with a better resume/accomplishments unless you were being biased.

Not at the moment but it won't long because he has an excellent stable of fighters and rings p4p list is shaky in several spots.


Let me rephrase that, While Haymon doesn't have any fighters on the overall p4p list, he has several fighters on the divisional top ten lists.

 

Garcia kinda reminds me of Froch in a way, he's got good credentials but he just doesn't impress you in the ring.
