I cannot for the life of me figure out why Hopkins has to punch then hold almost every single time he gets close to anyone. He didn't even need to do that to win the fight and honestly, he should have been disqualified.

Props to Hopkins for outclassing Pavlik, making him look stupid and winning the fight easily.

Stop the ****ing holding. It's ridiculous.

It`s pretty tight on that one. Notice how all the Yanks whinging about Ricky Hatton holding were strangely silent about Hopkins holding. What a surprise. :verysad

I have been referring to him as Bernard Ruiz ever since his disgraceful holding, clinching, and grabbing during the Calzaghe fight.

No - not nearly as much.

There was much less holding in the Pavlik fight than the Calzaghe one, yet a point was taken.

He knew he had to slow Calzaghe down and cheated in order to do so, whilst against Pavlik he didn't.

I didn't even think it was that bad in the Pavlik fight.

Hopkins holds to frustrate his opponents and throw thier rythim off and take there offence away. Ricky Hatton holds because he doesnt know what to do when his opponent hits back because he has no defence. Too different class of fighters please dont compare the two.

At least he punches then holds. Ruiz on the other goes for a bear hug.

I speak the truth. At least Ruiz doesn`t feign low blows. That was pitiful.

Sad that a professional fighter like Hopkins should stoop to such a low level. Mind you he was getting spanked.

What do you mean FEIGN? He WAS hit low. Taking advantage of repeatedly getting hit low... what's so wrong with that?
