    It neither counts toward sum title defenses nor serves to interrupt their contiguous run. No Contests are thrown out, essentially. Treat as if they never happened.

    Also - people saying a draw isn't a successful defense, wtf? :dunno Yes it very much is, no less so than a points or KO win. Draws have always been and still are valid title defenses.

    Nope, no contest - fight didnt happen.

    That said, Golovkins title-defense streak is even more questionable. It’s not his fault, WBA ****ed it up for him, but regular title defenses shouldnt count.

    For those questioning if a draw is a succesful defence, or thinking its not, it quite clearly is a succesful defence of titles.

    Both fighters fought for the belts, but the champion retained them, and succesfully kept the challenger from dethroning him after a fully legitimate and completed match. .

    Its a succesful defence.




    The NC... I dont know. Its often not considered a valid or completed match.

    Half of this fella's defense count was for a mickey mouse trinket against non-ranked bums. The only two live bodies he ever faced arguably beat him.

    His fight tonight against grey haired Vader is no better than grey haired Beefy Smith . At least Nelo wasn't dragging his grey haired old men up a division they never fought at. lol..

    A draw counts as a title defense as the belt did not change hands during the match. And everyone knows GGG won that fight anyway. Nice try.

    A no contest means it does not count. No one won, lost or drew

    Brook and Vader don't count as title defenses so you can knock back GGGs defense count by 2 , ?

    Did you see all the grey and balding hair on Vaders crown? The dude is about 40 years old.
