I really admire Hopkins and think he's a real great. But you guys have to see some perspective here.

He's not going to need to be 70% of what he was in the Pascal fight, but at least 95 to 110%. Or do you guys actually believe that 2010/2011 Pascal is so much better as current Kovalev? :blood
Hopkins after being beaten by pre 168 jump Chad Dawson only fought the mediocre beltholders in his division and Murat. Even Cleverly could beat Murat and stop him, and a guy like Campillo got robbed (very obviously) against Cloud, Shumenov and here he is again, Murat in a draw.

What happened to Cleverly and Campillo, who obviously were better as everything B-Hop beat since the Pascal fights? Right!

Hopkins is something incredible for his age, but he's up against a guy that is much, much better as what he faced in a very long time and that includes Chad Dawson in my book.

He's not fighting another easy to beat Murat, Cloud or Shumenov. He's fighting Kovalev.

    KO4clev aint no shumi.

there are times when he does look slow, when hes trying to take someone out. Perhaps Bernardo can capitalise on that, but the outlook doesn't look rosy for the dirty old man of boxing.

    I'm big B-Hop fan.

Kovalev is a monster,in my opinion.much better than Dawson was,IF Hopkins win's against Kovalev.i have rated Kovalev too high.

Hopkins is top 10ATG,but is almost 50 and fighting against.in my opinion, one of the most dangerous LHW ever, who is in his prime.

But this would still be great win for Kovalev,Hopkins is still dangerous and knows everything about boxing and how to get points from judges.

Hopkins is probably number 2 LHW right now, behind Kovalev.

And i agree,i fear Hopkins body will get much more punishment than ever before.

My money is on Bhop. I think we will see frustration on Kovalevs face when he see you cant land punches cleanly like he did on those other sub par fighters.
    Bhop ud.

Hopkins is number 3 surely at lhw? Adonis tops him in status for sure.

though when Jurgen Braehmer holds a trinket at lhw you know the competition is currently sparse (Adonis and KO4Clev apart).

That can be said about almost every single titlefight that has ever been made, just change up the 2 boxer's names. What's your point?

:scaredas: yes of course he can, but hopkins cant finish guys anymore. he's hardly going to go in for the kill when Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev hits that hard.
Hopkins only way is by Points. If Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev knocks down Hopkins it wont be a flash kd it will be the start of the end.
