Cuz I think so. He has all the attributes required to be a star. Because... 1. He has knockout power. Anything he touches, seems to go down. And it doesn't have to be flush lol 2. He has a TV friendly attacking style of boxing. He has legit talent. 3. Speaks good English 4. Has natural charisma in post fight interviews and already has a catchphrase! NEHO! 5. He's very active. Already gonna fight 4 times this year. 6. He's hungry and seems to love boxing and fighting in general. 7. He's recently signed with Top Rank who will promote him well. 8. He's on a knockout streak atm. Thoughts?
I don’t know about his chin but he does have the power and is exciting so I’m rooting for him. I doubt he could ever be as good as Azumah Nelson but with the right fights he could reach the level of a Ike Quartey.
Hell yeah providing he doesn't derailed along the way. Also he needs to work on his defense more cause he will have to count on that when his opponent can take his shots and decides to fight back.
Unfortunately, in the post Mayweather era of boxing that Dogboe resides in, he is far to nice and genuine a character to ever truly be a star, shame because he's great to watch and his entourage seem to adore him for who he is rather than the wad of cash he's packing. Anyway, good luck to him and the African nations deserve to have someone like Dogboe to bring back the glory days of the likes of Azumah Nelson etal.
Your assertion that a nice and genuine character can not ever truly be a star is just silly. For Dogboe, it’s actually an asset to him and his promoter. Yes, the bad guys get media exposure, but it’s not the only way.
Dogboe will be a great for hardcore's, might be hard to get casuals on side though. Even though he has all the tools, exciting fights, personality he's in the small weights so he needs to get fights that would attract casual interest for them to know who he is. He could fight De La Hoya, Roman, Vargas etc but none of those fights are going to do much in terms of making him a star, though all help his legacy and would be good fights. Inoue or winner of WBSS moving up may do as would Frampton, Santa Cruz, Russell Jnr, Warrington, Valdez, Diaz if he moves up but a lot of those could be difficult to make due to promotion wars.
I don't know if dogboe has a rags-to-riches kind of story but if he does then that's all he needs since he already proved that he can walk the talk. Sure worked very well for Pac. If he keepz doing his job pretty sure father bob will shine light on him.
I don't know if dogboe came from a poor background but if he does then all he need to do is keep doing what he does best. Sure worked very well for Pac. People always appreciate someone who overcame the challenges of life than some manchild who starts **** just to get attention.

I understand what you're saying and I sincerely hope that the like of Dogboe buck the trend and the precedence set by the likes of Mayweather and that vile POS Connor Mcgreggor and have huge success, fame and fortune. I just think that for boxing to start having more long term appeal to the masses, we need to focus more on the positive stories that arise from boxing. The likes of Mayweather, Adrien Broner and unfortunately more increasingly, Tank Davis etal are preaching the wrong message and are in no way positive ambassadors for the sport. People are already tiring of the fake beef and BS, WWE style pressers and flashing of their ill gotten gains.
The thing is Dogboe is already a proven Road Warrior. Inoue looks like a hype job fighting in Japan. Dogboe would KO inoue on his own turf
