Yeah I was gutted for that one especially being over there. Even my mates back home who are only casual boxing fans were gutted but they said mainly because Mayweather is a **** and wanted see him get beat.
Yeah i agree my mum was nearly in tears when Ricky got beaten feels like you know him personally for some reason
Pimp C, who do you think has a better shot at beating PBF> Mosely or Pacman , assuming both fights are at 147.
luckily i'm not a big rjj fan. i'm honestly more choked up when my fighter loses a bad decision. nothing to get too torn up about.
When Cotto lost, i felt like.... nothing. What do I have to lose anyway? Cept Morales lost me 200 grands...
This is a terrific thread...thanks for making it bro!!:good It is the beauty and brutality of sports...especially boxing. This is why we both love the sport and hate it. When "your" fighter reaches that peak and has that amazing victory, it brings an almost euphoric feeling; like, everything is "good" in the world. But, when your fighter loses the way Margarito did on Saturday night, it feels as if the world is moving in slow motion. You ask yourself, "Is this really happening?" I can compare it to staring at the sun. It is painful, and no matter where you look, you always see the imprint of that painful glare in you eye. Yeah...I think we can all relate to what you're experiencing. My only words of solace are that everything gets better with a victory; winning cures all. Unfortunately in the world of boxing, that only comes twice, maybe three times a year if your lucky. Don't worry, margarito will be back...he has the heart of a champion. He just had a bad night at the same time that Mosley had one of his best nights. You're just feeling the way Cotto fans did when the two Champions met last year. I think Larry Merchant said it best: "Boxing is the Theater of the Unexpected!!"
