for amateur boxing there's a good boxing gym like a hour drive away but i cant get there or back since i don't have my car yet, but there's a spot right by me like a 20 minute walk but its more of a fitness boxing place even though they are license for amateur boxing and the guy is a 4-8 pro

info about me 22 years old 5'9 150lbs and goal to be a top amateur boxer

It matters more where you train when your a begginer in my opinion. Thats when your learning the most important things such as the basis. You don't want to learn bad habits/ basis because they are really hard to get rid of.

I think so,if you can't make it everyday to the "good" gym, one thing a coach told me was to pay for a personal 1-2-1 coach every 2 weeks or so (which unfortunately is way above my means) and then work on things he told you to work on your own in the meantime.
