does it tug at your heart a little bit when fighters lose?

Seeing Tyson get pummeled by Lewis was pretty sad, and disappointing because you knew how past it he was. I think somewhere along the fight, he knew he couldn't win and just took his beating. In the post-fight interview and later in his dressing room holding his baby, he looked very content, knowing that the whole thing was finally over.

I always wondered what would have happened if Tyson had won that fight by freak knockout. Seeing him with his baby was nice

Jones getting knocked out by Tarver really gutted me. It was like "please god not like this, not against this guy"

Seeing Hopkins lose to Taylor the first time around killed me too. I knew he had lost it and during the fight i kept thinking "Hopkins you are better than this guy, just take it to him" and then when he finally did in the later rounds i knew it was too late. I felt like breaking the TV. I ****ing hate the 10 point system.

Leonard should have known better when he fought Camacho. That made me feel sad watching him because a prime Sugar Ray would have had him running all night.

Oh ya I remember the whole room went crazy that first round. That was actually the first boxing match I've ever watched, and the first time I discovered Tyson.

But ya, that fight was such a frickin dissapointment. You just know that a younger Tyson could have demolished Lewis, but the guy in there was a mere shell of his former self. He had absolutely no speed, no quickness, no boxing instincts whatsoever. It was such a disapointment, seeing as that could've been one of the greatest HW matchups ever -- our own Ali - Frazier.

Yeah...but what I like is the brutal honesty that they have in the minutes just after the fight. There's no more hype, there's no more ****-talk, there's just respect and admiration for the other guy who beat you. Stirring stuff. Makes you a better person to see the dignity some of these great warriors have in defeat, after they've put their soul on the line and failed. Even better to see them come back and give their best shot on another day! That's what makes boxing so special - it's so raw, it breaks people down to their bare essentials like no other sport. The good and bad shine true, with boxing.

  8. Seeing Mikey humbled vs Lennox was a tad shellshocking and you couldn't help but feel for Mikkel when Joe'd finished with him.

Yup, that's why I never felt sad about that. I felt far worse when he got dominated by Terry Norris. He must have been in the ring knowing that Norris was what he used to be.

I think the people who do feel this way have a genuine respect for boxing and all that goes into the quest to become a champion at it.

    Oh yeah.

Another one would be Corrales in the post fight interview after his loss to Mayweather.

    Brutal stuff
