His resume is lacking however talent wise he looks the part. I’ve been high in the evil twin for a while now and I believe he has the tools to beat everyone at 160. I was very impressed with BJS last night and Charlo at this point would likely fall short versus him though I’d like to see a bit more of Charlo at 160 before being fully committed to that opinion.
The top 160s are such a mash-up of styles. I'd probably take Charlo over Golovkin, Canelo, and Jacobs, but I think he'll lose to Saunders and probably Derevyanchenko. Charlo does have the 'potential' to take over the division and be great, but Canelo, Saunders, and Derevyanchenko have that potential too. Whoever does take over will be top 5 p4p, but that's just a byproduct, with so many great matches divisional dominance should be what's it's all about. Yeah Charlo needs to be more active and face the very best available for him, it better happen this year or he'll shorten his prime, but if he simply keeps winning in style he should eventually get the big fights. I predict by 2019 Golovkin and Jacobs will be fading out of the picture, and the spotlight will be focused on the prime, young guns.
