Won the title by one of the top punches of all time and lost his title to one of the top punches of all time?
I saw Robinsons perfect left hook that put Fullmer to sleep and I saw Joe's that put Ezzard Charles to sleep, to me Walcotts title winning left hook was the sweatest left hook in history, it was like magic.
Rocky's right cross stopped the dominating Walcott dead in his tracks, a great historic shot, but second to the majestic left of Walcott's that made Charles an exchamp.

John Mugabi maybe? Of course the shots he won and lost on to Jacquot ad Norris weren't of the quality Walcott gave and received, but Mugabi lived and died by the sword and he sort of fits.

Good shout on this probably the closest heavyweight equivalent for me would be Hasim Rahman dropping Lennox Lewis like a sack of spuds with a pile driving right hand as then Lennox Lewis returning in scintillating style to out do even that punch - with another explosive one punch finish dropping Rahman like a deadman - but yeah nod goes to the Camden cutie on this I think

The left that dropped Marciano in the 1st rd was a pretty good shot too.

Walcott had a beauty of a left hook and that was a single perfectly timed shot, the shot that dropped Marciano was also a beauty ....Lewis Rahman and Rahman Lewis were also nice ko'S BUT they were 2 piece KO's with Rahman staggering Lennox with the right, then following up with another and Lennox landing a hard left then the right. Mike Weaver had a beauty of a KO over John Tate but it was a left followed by a right. I think the Hook that flattened Charles ( a sneaky hook uppercut) would have KO'd just about anyone

Walcott's left was just so sudden and out of nowhere and the way Charle's head almost did a Linda Blair demon rotation was something you just don't see in boxing every day.
