you guys are stupid, you act like this is some kind of new thing. HBO has house fighters, they see them and talk to them and spend time with these guys over and over for years. showtime did the same thing in the 90s with chavez and tyson, they could do no wrong, showtime does it now. you watch a baseball game and everyone has home team announcers, same with football, basketball. these are announcers not judges, if they are biased toward a fighter so ****ing what...get over it

 

yeah I'm totally sick of Lampley. He's not only an unashamed homer and hyper of chosen fighters, he's also lately started taking total control of the entire broadcast team, getting them back on message if they say something he doesn't like etc. I'd like to see him escorted the **** out of the building. Metaphorically.

 

Not as bad as the May-Cotto fight. Cotto landing punches back May up to the ropes... Lampley avoiding all the action and continues talking about what a masterful boxer Mayweather is.

honestly, none of the HBO team need to get fired. they constantly provide the best commentary in the sport imo, and have been doing so for years at this point. also, lampley's pre-fight pressing of danny garcia's dad was totally appropriate.

 

Lamps need to be shut off. They are burning out.

Yes Lampley is beyond listening to anymore, I like Max, Emanuel is okay dudes a legend, but yes Jim Lampley needs to go. He has gotten very bias in his old age, and doesn't seem to know how to call a fight fairly or impartially at all anymore.

Lampley, Merchant, Kellerman, and Lederman are terrible and should have been fired years ago. I would rather watch RJJ, Foreman, and Lennox with Tyson filling Lederman's position.

 

Sadly a lot of truth in this statement :-( hard to believe the Lampley we used to know has sacrificed his integrity and reputation, so much so that his personality is hardly even recognizable from 20 years ago. All to continue being HBO's main puppet, they either pay him very well, or he's been foolish with his money and needs the job, because he has went along with HBO turning him into a complete joke the DKSAB.
