Does Jim Lampley Need to Get Fired?

Last night, all of them doing PR work for Khan during the 3rd round. Kellerman said that Garcia try to touch gloves with Khan (meaning that Khan was in total control). Steward also doing his work on how good was Khan doing, and Lampley we all know what he did, according to him Khan virtually won 10-8 round 2 because of Garcia's cut.

 

Lampley has turned into a true asswipe and hes influencing Max cause I heard him make some real bull**** statements. Too much ****in hype in the commentating. Steward had the most balanced input but he also gets offkey on some fights. That **** has got to stop cause its starting to sound like All Star Wrestling.

Lampley is only the narrator, he gets direction from the higher ups as to what direction to take the telecast to.
When you look at it from that perspective, Lampley as far as the higher ups are concerned is their dream broadcaster.

There is'nt a broadcaster around today and certainly not a boxing broadcaster that reads from a script and improvise better than Lampley to meet higher up agenda's......
.....thus, HBO has no reason to fire a commentator that follows the script, improvises, and creates an illusion with words that they want to be created. That illusion that whats happening is something other than what is being aired on video and seen before every viewers eyes.

When you have an untrained eye viewing something (which most viewers are), words go a long way to guide them along what the network would want to have take place and want you to believe you're seeing.

For creating that illusion with words that is'nt actually taking place, there is nobody better than Jim Lampley! :deal

 

Both Lederman & Lamply need to beat feet. Lamps sees what he wants to see and Lederman can't score a fight to save his ****in life.

 

Anyone think he might have vision problems? I mean for real, he always looks like he's squinting to read something.. Could explain a lot. So and so lands a straight right. No Jimmy, he threw a straight right that went over his opponents head.

 

His show on HBO is boring. I never thought a show based on boxing could be boring. But **** that show is dreadful to watch.

 

Lampley is a legend but he's been bad of late. Everyone has off nights. Hopefully he rights the ship. Or maybe he's just getting up there in age and won't improve. He was so much better back in the days.

 

That's not true. Actually Lampley was all over cotto's nuts, calling shots that did not even land. Steward had to correct him time and time again that most of those body shots were landing on Mayweathers arms, and that the only constantly landing thing for cotto was his jab, which was true. Lampley, nor Steward, EVER called any of the body shots Mayweather was landing. Lampley does not like mayweather, and he dick rides Cotto in every fight, mainly because he loves cotto, like he loves manny.

 

I wish you all would shut the **** up with this ****. Bradley got beaten in every possible way a man can be beaten except with the decision, and it's got nothing to do with Lampley.

 

yeah I used to defend him, but lately he's just gotten sooooooo bad, it's hard to watch.

 

It seems to me, what Lampley has been doing lately is when 2 guys have been boxing, he basically picks a favourite of the two and calls the fight in their favour pretty much regardless of what's going in the ring.

The Pacquiao-Bradley fight was an absolute disgrace, that was the worst most biased commentary i've ever heard.

I always remember when Pacquiao pinned Bradley to the ropes, threw 4 shots, i think it was 2 lefts and 2 rights, and NONE of them scored.

....Only for Lampley to shout something along the lines "Pacquiao lands with a succession of heavy shots on the inside!!"

Or something like that, i literally, rewinded the tape about 5 times and kept playing it over and over, I could not believe it.

I genuinely believe that HBO, Showtime or Sky Sports or whoever the broadcast is MUST be relied on to present a fair and impartial broadcast, and it seems to me HBO (In particular Jim Lampley) are unable to do that.

I've said this before and i'll say it again, if Lampley's commentary for Pacquiao-Bradley was on the radio, you would honestly think Timmy Bradley had just been given the worst beatdown in boxing history.

Total and utter disgrace.

 

That was hilarious when Kellerman was suggesting Garcia was trying to suck up to Khan by touching gloves... Kellerman is just as bad.

 

Because it wasn't his choice not to return. This is how TV works, son. You don't get offered a contract renewal for a position you've held for more than two decades: you've been fired. A bought-out contract or no offer of renewal for a contracted position = firing.
