Before i thought JMM had nothing to gain by fighting Morales but now that Morales made his statement and hes clearly not as shot as we all thought he was. so would it make sense now? i believe JMM takes it by UD 8-4 but itll be war

Keeping that streak alive? Good job, man. Make sure not to read a book or step outside your cave, lest you might learn words outside of '****' and '****'

It's still not on the list of best fights for JMM, but if it were to be made, I do think he would have a bit to gain from it in terms of accomplishments. Clearly Morales is not shot to pieces, looking good at 140. JMM is past his prime as well, to a lesser extent, but it wouldn't be a completely prime fighter using his athleticism to outdo the other man. I wouldn't mind seeing it.

I would like to see Morales/JMM anyways. I wouldn't mind.
JMM vs. Judah/Guerrero/Rios takes it though

no. I am not sure Morales is top notch because of the Maidana fight. Morales did well but more because Maidana is overrated. JMM is not a great fighter, but he should not get the chance to fight Morales now. I think JMM/Maidana is a good fight. Can he beat the guy who Morales did well against.

JMM - Morales makes sense as a warm-up fight for Marquez if he truly wants to move up to 140 and try and conquer that division.... but like many already said, there are many more attractive options out there for Marquez. Guerrero, Rios, Pacquiao, just to name a few.

Oh Morales is shot, he just has skills while Maidana just has power. Morales cannot compete at the elite level like he used to. He can give a good account of himself against contenders because he's Erik Morales (warrior). Morales just proved to be too smart for Maidana. In regards to JMM he matches/surpasses Morales and has a higher work rate. He can't stick with the elite fighters no more.

So I still think JMM vs Morales is a mismatch.

Morales fought with flashes of brilliance.

There is no point in seeing this fight, it would be a fight i'd like to see in their primes, where i believe Morales would edge him in a clear but close decision.
