Does Johnson have a legit shot vs. Froch?

This fight is a little over a week away. I think this is going to be a good fight. I'm taking Froch. However, Johnson is known to give just about everyone trouble. His style will give Froch problems and will be sure to make for a good fight. It seems though that everyone is talking as though a Froch win is a forgone conclusion. However, does the old man have one more good fight left in him?

In my opinion...yes. Although I do think the 'ball if firmly in Froch's court.' (I got that right?)

I think he's got a very good shot. He has the defense, durability, offensive skill and good power. He looked good at 168. I didn't think after the weight trouble against Cloud he was going to be anything other than dead when he came back down. I couldn't be more pleasantly surprised to see he looked great. Froch is a good fighter but Johnson is as solid a "crafty old vet" type as the division currently has, that I can think of. If Froch wins, I'll consider it a damn good win, not a foregone conclusion type. I actually think it's closer to a tossup when the cards are read (I think a distance fight), rather than a possible shutout but I have underestimated Froch before and Glen is at that age where any given time the shot stick can hit him out of nowhere.

Yes he does, Froch's power isn't going to shock Johnson, but I do think Johnson's relentless pressure is going to be a challenge for Froch. Unless Froch is somehow able to back Johnson up with his jab and some serious right hands, I believe this fight will be close. I've never seen Froch in an "inside battle" so I'm not sure how this will play out. I'm curious to see the fight for sure, I predict Froch by UD, but who knows?

Johnson has a chance at anyone because he just doesn't stop coming.

That said, Froch has a pretty good gas tank, can throw lots of punches for 12 rounds and IMO, is a pretty underrated boxer with excellent reflexes.

People are putting a little too much into Johnson stopping Green, who is a mental midget, and forgetting how he was getting hurt repeatedly against Cloud.

Probably a wide points win for Froch but I wouldn't be blown away if Johnson got stopped.

Pretty silly. Froch has one of the best resumes at super middle weight and that great win over Dirrell. :-o

I think this is the most interesting matchup possible for Froch. Road warrior has a chin of a tank, great workrate and unbreakable will, plus a decent punch at 168 (nothing special at 175). Those are all the same qualities that Froch possesses. This could be the most exciting fight at 168 pounds and given the fact that this is definitely going to go the distance, I think Glen has a pretty good chance (about 25%) to win.

Glen has a shot against anybody he faces.
