Has Linares done enough to be considered for the IBHOF in your opinion?

He’s a 3 weight world champ and has given some memorable fights with his fun style. In his prime he was a beast with really nice offense to go along with his speed.

    He's announced his retirement

He had a great career and was an excellent fighter in his prime. Great speed, skills, offence, combinations and very good power too

Also a certified road warrior, a scholar and a gent and a great ambassador for the sport

    Happy retirement, champ

I wanted to say no, but after a little bit of thinking, I think he’s worthy. He’s got some losses, some of those by knockout, but he always shows up. Multi weight champ and lineal. He’s exciting to watch and I’ve never know him to be a ducker.

I like him but if it's something you have to think over then the answer should be no.

He was the only one who could drop Loma.

    No.

But lesser men have got in so I wouldn't begrudge him.

Heck no, every time he fought someone remotely decent he was either brutally knocked out, or was dominated from start to finish. He is one of the most overrated fighters from the last ten years.

Linares is kind of overrated because he was a 3-weight world champion. So was Ricky Burns - does that mean Ricky Burns should be in the Hall of Fame?

I don't think so. He has a lot of title fight wins in his favor but that's just about it. He never beat a great fighter and, in fact, fought few top fighters. He never beat a reigning world champion, both of the titles he won were vacant at the time. I like Jorge but he doesn't have a signature anything to hang his hat on.

I think he'll be nominated at some point in the future for it.. probably won't get in tho but who knows.. he was an amazing offensive fighter on his day.. the fight with Loma is still one of my go to's... but his resume isn't the greatest and doesn't do his talent justice.. quite a vulnerable fighter as well which always let him down.. but he's certainly one of my favourites fighters of the past decade or so..

Yes he is. At his prime he was an absolute beast, it looks like boxing fans dont have a very good memory.

Btw, I hate when I cannot see the people who voted each option in a poll.
