Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce were - at different times - top ranked heavyweight contenders and they both beat Joseph Parker at or close to their peaks. Now that both boxers are struggling to make comebacks and Parker continues to impress, should the New Zealander be given his fair right to rematches?
I think Joyce would still be a bad style match up for him. He doesn't have the power to get Joyce's respect and would get walked down again. He might do better 2nd time around as he does seem improved since their fight but not enough for me to favour him. Also Joyce needs to rebuild, while coming back to fight Parker would be a good option for Joyce, Parker right now might be looking for bigger fights. But then again it is Parker he'll fight anyone and would likely want a chance to reverse the first fight. Whyte I don't care about, he's failed too many drug tests for me to want him to get a shot at Parker for another good payday. But if it happens I think Parker wins, first fight was close and Parker has only gotten better since that loss while Whyte has gotten a lot worse.
Imho he has earnt his right to fight one of the big ones. No need for being stuck avenging all your loses, unless you want to make some kind of statement instead of making money. It doesnt seem Parker's case, and I'm ok with it.
Parker would easily avenge his loss vs Whyte, Whyte is shot and the first fight would have been a draw had the headbutt KD been called correctly.
