I know he's been down in his career and rocked several times, how big a factor will chins be in his upcoming bout vs Porter? Is it possible that Keith Thurman is hiding a suspect fragile chin? Thoughts?
I recently called it with Amir Imam, Marcus Browne, Antoine Douglas and Sadam Ali, I'm expertly qualified.
After porter beats Thurman the only top 10 fighters Thurman should fight that are winnable would be rios, Vargas, broner, garcia, Bradley, Ali, Marquez, cotto. Brook Vasquez Spence Crawford right around the corner PAC All whoop Thurman.
:rofl He let a half retired, literal 35 year old granddad break his ribs on national television. I like Thurman but he damn near quit.
He has a glass body. I think he matches up well enough with Porter to avoid getting hit right with a body shot, but against Brook or Spence I see him ending the fight writhing on the canvas.
When has he been down? I know Collazo hurt him with a body shot and he was rocked a bit by Soto Karass but I've heard nothing of him actually being put over as a pro yet. That repulsive black-eyed reptile Virgil Hunter said he knows a few things about Thurman's chin or lack thereof (from Thurman's amateur days), but nothing that disingenuous creep says should be taken seriously. To be honest, Thurman doesn't look like the kind who can take it as well as he can dish it out to me. But obviously sometimes looks are deceptive so that doesn't mean he isn't tough. And it's not like he doesn't have plenty of other attributes that will cause serious problems for whomever he's in against either. E-Spence might have beat him in the amateurs, but there is a world of difference between getting cracked on the chin by feather fists Chris Algieri and Thurman and E-Spence's chin is still unproven as of now too. We've got some good talent at 147 at the moment though with the likes of Thurman, Brook, E-Spence, Egidijus Kavaliauskas and they can all bang too. Sammy Vasquez is meant to be very good too, or so I hear.
